tool frontman admits he played a gig days before testing positive to coronavirus in new zealand

Tool frontman Maynard James Keenan has admitted he performed a show in Auckland just days before he tested positive for coronavirus.

The 56-year-old told The Joe Rogan Experience podcast he began feeling sick in Australia before the band’s highly anticipated headline tour in February.

‘I was in Australia, we went out to dinner and immediately, food didn’t taste right, I didn’t feel right,’ he said.

‘We didn’t know at the time that these are the things you’re looking for. If I’d have known how bad it could have been I would have been freaking out.’

Keenan said he saw a doctor on arrival in New Zealand, who cleared him of having the deadly disease.

‘I asked the doctor, “Do you think this could be covid?” And he said “Did you have a fever?”.

‘”(I said) I don’t remember if I had a fever”… “then (he said) you don’t have covid”.

Keenan said he spent four days self-isolating in a hotel in New Zealand trying to recover.

He rallied to play the shows, which received glowing reviews, but Keenan admitted he was not performing at his best.

The rocker was later diagnosed with COVID-19 in Hawaii and revealed he is still feeling the effects of the disease months after being cleared of the disease.

‘Every other day I’ll have a coughing fit for 10 minutes, coughing up stuff, so I have lung damage from it still,’ he said.

Rapper Offset has been arrested for allegedly ‘waving guns at people’ while driving through a Trump rally in Los Angeles.

The 28-year-old recorded himself being pulled over by police in Beverly Hills on Saturday afternoon.

In a video shared to his Instagram Live, the rapper refused to turn off his car engine and step out of his vehicle while being questioned by cops – one of whom has a weapon drawn.

That officer states that there were reports that Offset was ‘waving guns at people’ as he drove through the area. The rapper replies that Trump supporters had hit his car with a flag.

The Los Angeles Police Department has not responded to a request for comment.

The rapper’s wife, Cardi B, was also spotted on the scene in videos captured by bystanders.

During the livestream video, Offset can be heard telling officers: ‘I’m a f**king celebrity, do you know who I am? I’m Offset from [hip-hop trio] Migos’.

He continues: ‘You told me to put my hands up, I’m not doing that. There’s 25,000 people [watching] on my livestream. You’re gonna get sued publicly.’

Another of the cops subsequently attempts to reach into Offset’s car and open the door from the inside.

‘You can’t do that! It’s not legal!’ the star snaps.

I’m gonna sue the s**t outta you. Ya’ll know who I am?’ he asks the officers.

The stream ends after the officer opens the door and Offset steps out.

Separate video showed him being placed into handcuffs as a crowd of Trump supporters waving flags look on.

He started by peeling and cutting the potatoes into sticks.

‘First up, we need to peel and cut the potatoes into fries. Add the fries to a pot with cold water and sea salt,’ Morgan explained.

Then he parboiled the fries, bringing the potatoes to boil for a further two minutes.

Parboiling potatoes in a pot of salted water will slash the roasting time in the oven and ensure the insides become really fluffy.

He drained the potatoes and transferred them onto a baking tray.

‘Bake with olive oil, salt and your favourite herbs at 200 degrees Celsius for 25 minutes,’ he said.

‘Boom, there you have it. The perfect French fries.’

His video has since been viewed more than 4.6 million times, with hundreds amazed at how simple and easy it was to create the fast food-inspired fries at home.

‘No way are you serious these are baked fries? They look so real,’ one said.

Many who recreated the fries at home claimed they tasted just as good as McDonald’s version.

‘I made them the way he did and they turned out really good, like actual fries,’ one said, while another wrote: ‘I just made them for dinner and they were so good.’

Some suggested roasting the potatoes with the skin on.

‘I made them and they are super good but you can leave the skin on,’ one said.

However, others said nothing could ever beat the classic McDonald’s fries.

‘You can try and do it but nothing is better than a McDonald’s fries,’ one said, while another added: ‘No chip that is baked in a oven is better than frying it’s just a rule of life.’
