Donald Trump‘s ‘body man’, whose job description includes accompanying him at all times, tested positive for coronavirus this weekend after traveling with the president several times recently.

Three people familiar with the matter told Bloomberg of Nicholas Luna’s diagnosis Saturday night as pictures also show the head of Oval Office Operations traveled with Hope Hicks Wednesday – just hours before she received her positive test.

Luna is just the latest in a string of Trump’s inner circle who have tested positive for coronavirus this week.

It appears the initial event that could have caused the outbreak is the Rose Garden event last Saturday where Trump announced Amy Coney Barrett as his nominee for the Supreme Court.

Overnight Thursday, Trump announced he had tested positive for COVID-19.

Among those who attended the White House event last weekend and have now tested positive are Hicks, former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie; former White House Counselor Kellyanne Conway; President of the University of Notre Dame John Jenkins; and Republican Senators Mike Lee of Utah and Thom Tillis of North Carolina.

Those notable individuals who have also tested positive but were not at the event are Trump’s campaign manager Bill Stepien, head of the Republican National Committee Ronna McDaniel and Republican Senator Ron Johnson of Wisconsin.

Another spreader event could have been Trump’s Wednesday rally in Minnesota, of which Hicks and Luna were present.

Luna’s ‘body man’ responsibilities range from handling Trump’s papers and speech texts to being ready with everything the president may need from briefing books to pens for autographs.

His diagnosis emerged the day after Trump entered the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center for treatment following his own infection.

White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows said Saturday that the president went through a ‘very concerning’ period on Friday and said his next two days will be ‘critical.’

‘We’re still not on a clear path yet to a full recovery,’ Meadows told reporters outside Walter Reed on Saturday.

The president’s chief doctor expressed cautious optimism but added that the president was ‘not yet out of the woods’ in an update Saturday night.

Trump also gave his own assessment of his health status in a video from his hospital suite, claiming he was feeling better and would ‘be back soon.’

He remained at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center on Sunday.

Chelsea Handler explains why she called out 50 Cent for endorsing Trump over Biden tax plans

chelsea handler explains why she called out 50 cent for endorsing trump over biden tax plans

Chelsea Handler said she was compelled to scold her ex-boyfriend 50 Cent to remind him that ‘he’s a black person, so he can’t vote for Trump’ and said she’d ‘go for another spin’ if the rapper ‘publicly denounces’ the president.

Earlier in the week, the comedian made headlines for taking the rapper to task on Twitter after he endorsed Trump for reelection over word of a 62 per cent tax that Joe Biden supposedly wants to put on people making over $400,000 in New York City

‘Hey f**ker! I will pay your taxes in exchange for you coming to your senses. Happily! Black lives matter. That’s you, f**ker! Remember?’ Handler tweeted to 50 Cent on Wednesday.

On Friday, Handler explained why she lashed out at her ex-boyfriend, 50 Cent, who she had dated in 2010, according to reports.

‘So he doesn’t want to pay 62 percent in taxes because he doesn’t want to go from “50 Cent” to “20 Cent” and I had to remind him that he was a black person, so he can’t vote for Donald Trump and that he shouldn’t be influencing an entire swath of people who may listen to him because he’s worried about his own personal pocketbook,’ Handler told Jimmy Fallon during her Tonight Show interview.

Handler mentioned that the supposed tax hike that 50 Cent had referred to while supporting Trump ‘isn’t a plan’ that Biden was proposing. ‘That’s a lie,’ she said.

Although Handler said she hadn’t ‘heard back’ from 50 Cent yet, she said that she might be willing to offer him an incentive to change his mind about supporting Trump.

‘I am willing to, you know, seal the deal in more ways than one if he changes his mind and publicly denounces Donald Trump,’ Handler told Fallon. ‘I may be willing to go for another spin if you know what I’m talking about.’

The Twitter incident started on Monday when 50 Cent tweeted out a screengrab of a news report listing supposed tax hikes that Biden would put on high income individuals in various states and cities.

The list included New York State at 58 per cent, NYC at 62 per cent and California at 72.6 per cent and New Jersey at 60 per cent.

‘WHAT THE F**K! (VOTE ForTRUMP) IM OUT,’ 50 Cent tweeted, going on to add ‘F**K NEW YORK The KNICKS never win anyway. I don’t care Trump doesn’t like black people 62% are you out of ya f**king mind.’

‘I guess 50 cent don’t wanna end up 20 cent,’ a social media user tweeted, prompting the rapper to write: ‘Yeah, i don’t want to be 20cent. 62% is a very, very, bad idea. i don’t like it.’

Handler then responded to his original tweet by writing: ‘You used to be my favorite ex-boyfriend.’

‘Oh my God this is effecting [sic] my love life now,’ 50 Cent replied. ‘@chelseahandler I love ya Gator, don’t let Trump and Joe Biden come between us girl.’

Handler’s response was to offer to pay 50 Cent’s taxes, remind him that ‘Black lives matter. That’s you, f**ker! Remember?’

50 Cent filed for bankruptcy in 2015, a fact that he referenced on social media, about 45 minutes before his initial tweet about supporting Trump over the supposed Biden tax numbers.

‘I just remembered i’m bankrupt, so i’m looking for a gracious loan can anyone help a brother out. LOL,’ he wrote.

The current top U.S. statutory tax rate is 37 per cent with the average earner in the highest tax bracket paying 26.8 per cent after taking into account tax breaks, including loopholes, deductions, exemptions, credits and preferential rates.

Biden has pledged to hike taxes said for those earning more than $400,000, but has insisted there will be ‘no new taxes’ beyond that.

This isn’t the first time that 50 Cent has supported Trump.

In March 2016, 50 Cent posted a photograph of himself with Trump, alongside the caption: ‘Me and My President maybe, only in America’.

channel seven star is slammed for afl grand final interview with ash barty and stephanie gilmore

Channel Seven commentator Brian Taylor has been slammed for a ‘rude and obnoxious’ interview with Ash Barty and Stephanie Gilmore.

The former Richmond Tigers player, 58, spoke to women’s world number one Barty and star surfer Gilmore in a pre-match interview before the AFL Grand Final at The Gabba in Brisbane on Saturday.

‘How many games of footy have you been to, Steph?’ Taylor asked Gilmore, prompting the surfer to say ‘four’.

‘What do you know about it? What’s the first thing (that comes to mind)? When I say “footy” what do you think?’ Taylor continued to probe.

Gilmore went along with the line of questioning: ‘I don’t know, just the bounce and yellow and black. It’s kind of the two lyrics I know.’

The commentator called Barty a ‘football meat head’ when asking about her role of presenting the premiership cup to Richmond should they win – which they did.

‘Lunch today for both of you, is that what’s going to amount to? Behind the glass, that easy?’ Taylor asked the pair.

‘No, definitely not,’ Gilmore replied.

Barty is a Tigers supporter while Gilmore is a Geelong fan – but the surfer wore Richmond colours so she could sit with Barty in the Tigers section.

‘Steph, why Geelong?’ Taylor asked Gilmore.

‘Well, I think Ash has raked me into the Tigers fans today,’ Gilmore replied.

‘Didn’t you visit Geelong and that turned you into a Geelong supporter?’ Taylor probed.

Gilmore then replied: ‘Yeah, but today I’ll go for the Tigers.’

To sign off the interview, Taylor said: ‘I think these two might go have a wine now!’

Many viewers found the exchange awkward and vented their frustrations on Twitter.

‘Brian Taylor, that interview was so demeaning. Asking Steph Gilmore if she’s actually been to any AFL games & if she even knows the rules. Give me a break,’ one woman wrote.

Another viewer wrote: ‘BT interview of Ash Barty was rude and obnoxious. Get him off TV.’

‘The interview with Ash Barty and Steph Gilmore is a good indication Brian Taylor is a massive flog. Get him off. He is a flog,’ one man said.

Taylor’s former side, Richmond, roared to victory at the AFL Grand Final on Saturday night, defeating the Geelong Cats to win their third premiership flag in four years.

The Tigers overcame the Cats 81 to 50 after an incredible come-back in the third quarter and heroic efforts from fan-favourite Dustin Martin.

The loss is a cruel blow for Cats star Gary Ablett Jnr, who will immediately retire after 357 AFL games. The 36-year-old was injured just moments after the first bounce but bravely battled his pain one last time.

After the match Ablett looked emotional and was seen talking to his wife Jordan and kissing his toddler son Levi, who has a rare and degenerative disease.

Martin, who kicked four goals and 21 disposals, made history as he became the first player to be awarded the Norm Smith Medal on three occasions.

The 29-year-old thanked the AFL, Toyota, the government and Richmond Football Club while receiving his award.

‘First of all, I would just like to thank Geelong for an awesome game,’ he said.

‘You’re an awesome club. Well done to Gaz (Gary Ablett) on your unbelievable career. To the AFL, Toyota, the government, last but not least, the Richmond footy club. Let’s go.’

As he walked off, Martin hugged a mystery blonde.

cairns dad reveals parents took kids to see a injured woman who fell 30m from hangover ride

A father who witnessed a mother plunge 30 metres from a fairground ride has revealed parents took their kids to ‘gawk’ at the critically injured woman.

The 25-year-old woman fell from The Hangover ride at the Cairns ShowFest in the city’s Parramatta Park at 5.30pm on Saturday before becoming ‘entrapped’.

Father Kurt Wanless took his two children and a neighbour’s child to the ShowFest and saw the woman plunge from the ride.

Father Kurt Wanless said parents took their children to look at a critically injured woman when she became trapped after falling 30 metres from the The Hangover ride at the Cairns ShowFest in the city’s Parramatta Park at 5:30pm on Saturday

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia, Mr Wanless said parents were taking their children to see the trapped woman after she fell from the ride.

‘People were taking their kids up to see, which is pretty disgusting. I don’t want my kids to have that in their heads,’ he said.

‘I grabbed my kids when they put their sheet across because I thought she might have died. When we left, more police were coming in.

‘I thought they would shut down the whole show. When something like that happens, you should call it quits. Get the people out so emergency services can cordon off the area. But they kept it going.’

Video taken by Mr Wanless shows people gathering around the ride to see what was happening while music continued to blare.

‘It’s a shame. There’s everyone gawking wondering what the f*** is going on,’ Mr Wanless said in the clip.

‘A poor lady fell out of that ride up the top, broke her back and this is what’s going on. The ride was upside down, she fell from the top.’

The Hangover ride swings people through the air on pendulum arms that rotate a full 360 degrees.

Another witness Darnell Addo, 16, said the ride continued to spin around even after the woman had fallen.

‘They couldn’t stop the ride. He (the operator) said “I’m trying to, it’s on a timer”,’ Mr Addo told the Cairns Post.

‘No one knew about it except for about eight people by the side, they started screaming.

‘Some show ground people came and asked what had happened, then the ambulance came and everybody started crowding it.’

The moment the woman fell was captured on video and posted to Facebook but removed out of respect for her distraught family.

Queensland Ambulance and Queensland Fire and Emergency Services freed the woman but she had already suffered ‘significant head and spinal injuries’.

A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said multiple paramedic crews attended the ‘workplace incident’.

‘The woman was freed and treated for significant head and spinal injuries. She was transported in a critical condition with a critical care paramedic and flight doctor to Cairns Hospital,’ she said.

A Cairns Hospital spokeswoman said the woman is still in a critical condition.

‘A nurse has informed me that she will likely remain in critical condition overnight,’ she said.

Mr Wanless also witnessed the woman falling from the ride.

‘I was getting a daggle dog and I saw her mid flight in the last few metres before she hit the ground. My daughter saw her land,’ Mr Wanless told Daily Mail Australia.

‘There was a young bloke and a girl, about 18, who looked pretty shaken up. They were crying. I think they might have been her friends or family.’

Mr Wanless said the woman fell from the front seat of The Hangover ride, which his children had ridden just before.

‘My kids went on that ride (The Hangover) on the ride before. They were in the middle and I wanted them to sit in the front where the woman came out of,’ he said.

Cairns ShowFest is run by ShowFest Australia, which also runs events at Mackay, Rockhampton, Townsville, Mt Isa, Bundaberg and Emerald Showgrounds.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted ShowFest Australia promoter Bryan Loft for comment but has not yet received a response.
