big brother star krystal hipwell defends beach trip nine days postpartum

Former Big Brother star Krystal Hipwell (née Forscutt) has had her hands full since welcoming her third child, son Huska, late last month.

She has been inundated with sleepless nights, nappy changes and blisters on her nipples, so a trip to the coast over the Labour Day long weekend was a no-brainer.

But the mother of three, 34, was left feeling a ‘little weird’ after a handful of Instagram trolls said she shouldn’t be hitting the beach so soon after giving birth.

‘I am wearing a liner (not that it’s really anyone’s business),’ Krystal wrote, responding to an inappropriate comment from one of her critics.

‘Feeling a little weird having to clear this up but quite a few people [are] asking me how I am at the beach nine days postpartum and the answer to that is – black was a deliberate swimsuit choice,’ she added.

Krystal also addressed the fact her stomach appeared darker than the rest of her body in a photo of herself wearing a midriff-baring swimsuit.

‘This is due to being out in the sun with my bump. Once my tummy starts to go down it ends up looking really dark. This happened after all of my pregnancies,’ she said.

‘I call it “the return of the dried-up tobacco leaf”, which is what my wrinkly tummy resembles postpartum.

‘I’m definitely not complaining. The female body will never cease to amaze me!’

Her Instagram post was accompanied by two photos of herself holding her son Huska, who was born on September 25.

In one photo, Krystal – who also shares son Sunny, five, and daughter Nakoda, two, with her husband, Neil Hipwell – smiles at her newborn while standing in knee-deep water.

The long weekend trip marked the first time Huska had visited the beach.

‘A weekend to remember! Spent the days at the beach with friends and family, and celebrated our first weekend as a family of five with a dance party in our living room,’ Krystal told her followers.

‘Also snuck in a cheeky glass of wine or maybe two.’

Krystal has been very open with how life has been with her ‘Husky Boy’ since his arrival last month.

She revealed on September 30 that she had blisters on her nipples from breastfeeding her son, and that she was feeling ‘deliriously tired’.

‘You can easily wish the days away but here I am, third child in, and I know all too well how quickly this season of life will pass so I’m trying not to wish it away,’ she said.

‘Trying to embrace it and savour the “little” moments that really aren’t so little at all.’

She has admitted to feeling anxious about breastfeeding her baby because of the judgement she receives over her big boobs.

And Ashley James was every inch the doting mother-to-be as she showed off her baby bump in lingerie in a sweet video on Tuesday.

The former MIC star, 33, looked delighted as she cradled her 30-week bump while filming herself in a mirror.

The star wowed in a lavender bra with straps and matching underwear as she stroked her stomach in the sweet clip.

Ashley wore her blonde locks sleek and straight and let her radiant complexion take centre-stage by going make-up free.

The star was wearing maternity lingerie from Helen Flanagan’s range, Delilah Ruby, with the fellow pregnant star giving Ashley a shout-out on her page.

This comes as Ashley admitted she is anxious about breastfeeding her baby because of the judgement she receives over her big boobs.

The reality star turned DJ is expecting her first child early next year, but in one of her regular lengthy Instagram posts about pregnancy, she admitted she’s getting increasingly anxious about feeding her newborn son.

Sharing a bikini photo of herself the pregnant star explained she’s always felt her large breasts have been sexualised, leading her to research breast reduction surgery at the age of just 15.

Speaking about her experiences over the years, Ashley wrote: There’s such sexualisation and judgement around women (and more importantly GIRLS) with big boobs. I’ve been thinking about it a lot recently as my already big boobs continue to grow as my body prepares to breast feed.’

She continued: ‘I know that breastfeeding women already find the sexualisation and judgement of their boobs difficult when it comes to breastfeeding in public (@lucymeck1 did a brilliant post on it recently).’

‘So how is it for the ‘big ti**y committee’, most of us who grew up up feeling shame because of the sexualisation and judgement of boobs we’ve experienced since we first grew them as underage CHILDREN?’

‘Whether it’s men staring at our chest instead of our eyes, the unsolicited comments, usually followed by “well if you don’t want the attention don’t get them out”, as if we can make them magically disappear.’

‘Teachers telling us off for attention seeking when we’d scream because the boys would undo our bra strap through our shirt (it’s called harassment, not attention seeking).’

Ashley added that she’s even felt judgement from other women, ‘staring and gossiping, calling us T*ts McGhee or asking us who were trying to impress on a night out because we’ve got the “girls out”‘

‘It’s a vest top, and I spent about two hours deciding whether to look like an 18th century nun or face the stares and comments all night if I dressed in something that made me feel good.’

‘Or the judgement we put on ourselves… The agony of shopping and finding nothing to wear, or finding something we feel good in but knowing in wearing it we’ll have to face the stares or people will make presumptions about our promiscuity or intellect.’

Ashley went on to admit that she went for a consultation to get a breast reduction when she was just 15, explaining: ‘I was a child but wanted them off my chest so I could get more respect from adults, and not have the attention from boys, or the comments from girls that I clearly loved the attention.’

She ended her Insta rant by admitting: ‘So I’m anxious about breastfeeding. Because, let’s be honest once you’re above a D cup your boobs seem to be slightly more ‘inappropriate’ – both men and women will stare, comment, and judge even if you’re in a vest top. So do any big boobed ladies or breastfeeding mamma’s (no matter what your boob size) have any advice?’

Ashley also added an upate on her pregnancy on her Instagram Stories, admitting she thought she had ‘pregnancy depression’ before enjoying a babymoon in Cyprus with boyfriend Tom Andrews.

‘Before Tommy booked this babymoon I genuinely thought I might have had pregnancy depression, but I think I just needed to switch off and have a break!’

‘I think I’ve been putting a lot of pressure on myself with work… Setting so many goals and targets which is great, but then I’m juggling that with pregnancy tiredness etc.

The star – who is half way through her pregnancy – is having a baby boy with her boyfriend of nine-months Tom Andrews.

It comes after Kylie admitted she had a ‘dramatic meltdown’ while recording her new album Disco, which will be released on November 6, as she was forced to work on much of her new music during lockdown.

‘I’d been going at such a pace every day and juggling different writers, producers and schedules and trying to be prepared – it really wore me out,’ she told Music Week.

‘I had a slight, well, meltdown. Probably sounds a bit dramatic, but I realised I’d been going at such a pace because I was driven to get this done.’

Describing the process as ‘intense,’ she added: ‘There was a point near the end where I actually felt just so drained.’

Speaking to Billboard, Kylie also recently said that she had to buy her own equipment and learn how to record vocals at home to complete her new album.

‘Lockdown happened, and I had to figure out how to do everything remotely,’ she explained.

‘It was very exciting to get the equipment, fire up my logical-rational brain and find the right place in the house to put it,’ she continued.

‘I was dragging [around] duvets and blankets and clothes racks to make [my lounge room] good for sound.’

Back in July, Kylie’s album producer Sky Adams detailed the complicated long distance recording process in a lengthy Instagram post.

‘I started working on this album about 3 weeks before lockdown happened and being faced with these new challenges we had to really dig deep and figure a way to finish it while also blocking out the madness going on the outside world,’ he wrote.

‘Shout out to Kylie being a total boss getting a home studio setup [and] learning to navigate Logic while I also recorded engineered the rest of it from my home…’ he continued.

After thanking the other producers and engineers who helped on the project, Sky finished: ‘We poured our hearts and souls into this and I’m honoured to be a part of hell of a record!’

Tom Hughes has put the home he shared with girlfriend Jenna Coleman up for sale three months on from their shock split.

The stunning London house where the couple – who met while playing Queen Victoria and Prince Albert in the popular ITV series Victoria – is on the market for £2.5million.

Jenna, 34, has moved to a flat five miles from the Grade II listed townhouse in one of London’s most fashionable streets following the end of their four year relationship, while Tom, 35, has remained at the house.

Jenna and Tom were pictured moving belongings out of the shared home last month shortly after news of their split came to light.

Property records show the four-bedroom home was bought by Hughes in 2017 for £1.725m. If his asking price is met it will be a handsome £775,000 profit for the actor in just three years.

Estate agents handling the sale describe the home as having an ‘enviable interior design’ and located in one of North London’s most sought after garden squares.

Spread over four floors, the house has been extensively restored with original wood flooring, ceiling roses and working fireplaces.

The couple, who fell in love while filming Victoria in 2016, have also stamped their own style on the property.

One room dominated by an exposed brick fireplace features the couple’s love of music with a drum set and guitars hanging on the wall.

A photo of John Lennon and a poster for Oasis also adorn the walls along with a collage of album covers of The Beatles.
