Schitt’s Creek was the big winner at Sunday night’s 72nd Emmy Awards – breaking the record for most wins in a single season for a comedy.

And an A-list celeb also revealed himself to be a huge fan of the comedy series, as Elton John made a surprise appearance during the largely virtual ceremony to introduce the show for the Outstanding Comedy Series nomination.

The Emmys enlisted celeb fans to lobby for each of the nominated comedy series, with Lin-Manuel Miranda, Gabrielle Union and Zooey Deschanel also making appearances.

Elton was the biggest surprise though, delighting fans as he gushed that Schitt’s Creek is ‘a show with a big Canadian heart.’

‘Three things really made this show an all-time favourite of mine,’ he continued. ‘One, they name-checked me in an episode.’

‘Two I met the cast backstage at one of my shows in Italy. Three I found out that Daniel Levy was named after one of my songs.’

The superfan’s words did the trick as Schitt’s Creek went on to scoop the top prize of Outstanding Comedy Series, after already winning the first seven awards of the night.

The show, which broadcast its sixth and final season this year, became the first comedy series to sweep the four main acting categories in a single year as well as the first series to win all seven major awards in a single year, taking home nine gongs in total.

The sitcom beat out Curb Your Enthusiasm, Dead To Me, The Good Place, Insecure, The Kominsky Method, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, and What We Do in the Shadows for the Best Comedy Series prize.

Creators and father-son duo Eugene, 73, and Dan Levy, 37, accepted the honor together as the son took time to urge viewers to vote.

Dan said: ‘Oh, boy. Our show at its core is about the transformational effects of love and acceptance. We need it now more than ever before. If you have not registered to vote, please do so, and then go out and vote. That’s the only way we need love and acceptance out there. Dad, do the rest of the fun stuff, sorry for making this political.’

He earlier apologized after winning the Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series.

‘Oh, no. Okay, the Internet is about to turn on me. I’m so sorry,’ Dan said upon accepting his award in Canada where he gathered with the show’s cast and crew.

Twelve-time Emmy nominee Sandra Oh, 49, noticed his apology.

‘Dan Levy – a true Canadian, just apologized for winning!! Lol!!,’ Sandra tweeted for her roughly 1.2 million followers.

The series follows the trials and tribulations of the formerly wealthy Rose family as they are forced to relocate to Schitt’s Creek, a small town they once purchased as a joke.

Schitt’s Creek in addition to the Outstanding Comedy Series award also won four acting awards for its lead and supporting actors and actresses as well as awards for directing and writing. It also won costuming and casting awards at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards last week, giving it a record nine Emmy awards, the most for a comedy in a single year.

kim kardashian shares family photo from her happy place at kanye wests wyoming ranch

Kim Kardashian was missing husband Kanye West‘s Cody, Wyoming ranch on Tuesday.

The 39-year-old reality star shared a flashback from the last family trip on Instagram, calling it her ‘happy place’ and adding ‘a cowboy smiley emoji.

Though Kim was reminiscing about her last outdoorsy adventure, it seem like she was planning something more lavish for her next trip, reportedly jetting 30 of her closest friends and family to a private island to celebrate her 40th birthday, according to Page Six.

In her throwback to Wyoming Kim was dressed in her own sexy take on Western duds while sitting on a weathered fence.

Green pastures and bright blue skies overtook the background as she sat alongside sisters Kendall Jenner, Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian, her children Penelope and Mason Disick, matriarch Kris Jenner, and her boyfriend Corey Gamble.

The Skims creator, who is turning 40 on Wednesday, looked chic in a tiny tank top worn with baggy slate pants and heeled boots that seemed somewhat unsuited to the outing.

Kim swept her hair into a high half-ponytail and added sunglasses for shade.

Kourtney, 41, went for full cowboy chic while donning a rancher’s hat and cowboy boots with a scarf around her neck.

Her rust colored top and orange pants contrasted her classic accessories with some contemporary punch.

Kendall, 24, also went for an authentic Western look, teaming high-waisted blue jeans with a sleeveless tank and cowboy boots while slicking her tresses into a smooth ponytail.

Khloe, 36, was more sporty, rocking black leggings and a matching top while holding onto her niece Penelope, eight, and nephew Mason, 10.

Kris, 64, wore leopard leggings, a denim jacket, and taupe booties, all topped off with a bandana and a hat.

Kim was happy to share the moment, captioning it ‘Happy Place,’ while adding ‘No Filter.’

Special vacation: Kim is reportedly taking her 30 closest friends and relations to a private island to celebrate her 40th birthday. People are speculating the destination could be in Bora Bora or The Caribbean, but so far Kim is keeping it a complete secret

And it seems like she was looking to make some new memories this week with an over-the-top birthday vacation for her 40th.

According to Page Six, Kim has arranged for 30 of her closest people to take a private jet to a secret private island.

While it’s speculated that the destination will be a Kardashian favorite like the Caribbean or Bora Bora, Kim is not telling her guests an exact location – even mother Kris.

Guests will only find out where they’re headed to after being picked up in the wee hours next week and boarding their private jet.

The group has already been tested for COVID-19 once and will be retested over the weekend to make sure everyone is safe, according to a source.

‘All the guests know is when to be ready to be picked up for the flight, which will leave the Los Angeles area early next week,’ said an insider.

‘The destination is being kept strictly under wraps for privacy reasons, but that isn’t stopping everyone [from] speculating.’

Another option would be Kamalame Cay, the private island in the Bahamas where Kim’s close friend Serena Williams honeymooned with Reddit founder Alexis Ohanian in 2017. The Kardashians are also fans of the Amanyara resort in Turks & Caicos.

scream 5 ghostface voice actor roger l jackson drops major spoiler for upcoming sequel

Longstanding Scream actor Roger L Jackson revealed a behind-the-scenes detail for the forthcoming Scream 5 – and a potentially major plot spoiler in the process.

Roger, 62, has provided the voice of the so-called ghostface killer throughout the franchise, since Scream 1 in 1996.

And in a phone interview with British website Ghostface UK, Roger was asked about the infamous mask, worn by all seven incarnations of the killer in the movie series.

Referencing the ghostly face covering, he said: ‘There’s been a rumour going around that the ultra-white mask is involved…

‘What I will tell you is that the killer, the main killer, will not have the ultra-white mask.

‘There’s something else involved, and it’s not the white mask!’

This tidbit has led to several questions, with some fans taking to Twitter to ponder if the ‘main killer’ will be wearing something totally different to usual.

Between 2011’s Scream 4 and now, the franchise was developed into a TV series, which had nothing to do with the films.

Kylie Jenner turned heads as she stepped out in a sexy mini dress on Monday.

The brunette bombshell wore an orange leather number perfect for fall as she headed to lunch in Beverly Hills putting on a very leggy display.

Stepping out of her toffee colored Mercedes G-Wagon the 23-year-old looked camera-ready in the ruched frock which accentuated her hourglass curves.

Meanwhile, Kylie and ex-boyfriend Travis Scott are reportedly ‘coparenting amazingly’.

The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star and the 29-year-old rapper have been on and off as a couple since splitting last year, but sources have said they’re still dedicated to raising their two-year-old daughter Stormi together, and have become pros at coparenting.

An insider told Us Weekly magazine: ‘Kylie and Travis are coparenting amazingly right now and love spending time together with Stormi and making her happy.

‘Travis is a hands-on, super engaged dad and always wants to make Stormi smile. She is such a happy child.’

Meanwhile, the Sicko Mode hitmaker recently revealed he is encouraging his daughter to believe she can do ‘anything a man can do’.

He said: ‘I feel like it’s way more important now to protect young black daughters, women, and make sure they have the knowledge of how to carry themselves, how to move in this world, how to be strong, how to not even be scared to take that risk on any idea, jump out on any activity.

‘Now more than ever, they have the vision.’

And it has also been claimed Travis and Kylie, 23, have been stronger than ever following their brief split.

Another source said: ‘Kylie and Travis truly enjoy one another and are in love, but it can often be hard navigating their lives at such a young age.

‘The couple needed to take a step back to reevaluate many things, but in doing so, they are better now than ever.’
