is this the moment the blocks luke and jasmin cheated in plain sight

The Block contestants Luke and Jasmin denied they stole and copied a design aesthetic from a former 2014 team to win the children’s room challenge.

However, it appears the couple may have actually cheated in plain sight and viewers were completely oblivious.

In a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moment, Jasmin was seen looking at a photo on her phone which resembled an almost exact replica of their finished room.

An eagle eyed viewer pointed out the moment on Twitter, writing: ‘Yes you could literally see this picture on Jas’ phone when showing Dan the ladder!!’

‘Really original ideas coming from Jas in house 4. This is an Airbnb in Byron,’ another user wrote.

An accompanying photo to the Tweet thread showed a room which also had polkadot wallpaper, a timber ladder and framing for the top bunk.

Despite initially giving the couple the perfect score of ten, judge Shaynna Blaze later told TV Week that she believed the couple had created a ‘literal carbon copy’ of 2014 star Kyal and Kara’s recent home renovations.

The 57-year-old explained: ‘I thought, “I’m just going to have a look” – and I found an identical one. There are one or two teeny-tiny tweaks, but it’s literally a carbon copy!’

While she couldn’t quite put her finger on it at the time, Shaynna explained that the pair’s room is a ‘copy’ of another image she found through a simple internet search.

The interior designer fumed: “We’re not into copy-and-pasting. And not only that, it takes months and expertise to put all that together – the research, actually finding all those pieces.

‘When you present it in a competition and say, “I put this together”, it’s like, “Well, no you haven’t! You just copied somebody else’s hard work and claimed it as your own.”‘

'It was a carbon copy!' Despite giving Luke and Jasmin the perfect score of ten, judge Shaynna Blaze (pictured) has now admitted that she had a nagging feeling that the design of their bedroom was one she had seen elsewhere

Jasmin, 36, was quick to deny the cheating claims, telling the publication that the design of the room was a product of a moodboard she had created.

She also claimed that if she were to cheat, she ‘wouldn’t have done it so openly’.

However, a producer of the show has previously said that the act of sourcing inspiration and recreating designs is allowed on the program.

‘Contestants take inspiration from many things, magazines, shop window displays and previous Block rooms… Nothing can be copied 100 percent because too many factors come in to play,’ producer Anna Scarff told Nine in 2017.

‘Paint colour, furniture availability, layout of rooms and time, these are the forces that shape their creativity. They may take inspiration from these things, but their hard work and their own ideas always prevail.’

The Block continues Monday at 7.30pm on Channel Nine

frazer neate earns instagrams blue tick of approval while appearing on the bachelorette

The Bachelorette‘s Frazer Neate has been tipped to win Elly Miles’ heart since the very beginning of the season.

And now the 28-year-old concreter is well on his way to becoming an influencer after receiving the coveted blue tick from Instagram.

On Wednesday, eagle-eyed fans noticed the rumoured finalist’s account was now verified, which is generally reserved for businesses and well-known celebrities.

While Elly, 27, was awarded her tick following her appearance on Matt Agnew’s season of The Bachelor last year, sister Becky, 30, is yet to be verified on the social media platform.

According to Instagram, the blue tick symbolises that the company has confirmed that the account is ‘the authentic presence of the public figure, celebrity or global brand it represents’.

While anyone can request to become verified, Instagram doesn’t guarantee that it will happen.

In order to become verified, the account must represent a ‘well-known, highly searched for person, brand or entity’.

Fellow contestants were quick to defend Frazer’s decision to apply for a blue tick.

‘Well he is a public figure and he has at least 10k followers so where is the problem? Frazer is a legend,’ wrote fellow contestant Rudy El Kholti.

breast cancer awareness month sharon stone gets mammogram

She left her fans concerned that she had fallen ill after she shared a snap of herself in a hospital bed.

But Sharon Stone was aiming to bring attention to Breast Cancer Awareness Month with her selfie, which she shared with her Instagram followers on Monday.

The Basic Instinct actress, 62, wore a grey and white striped face mask and sunglasses while she waited to get a mammogram in hospital.

In a caption alongside her post, she urged her female fans to head out and get their annual breast cancer screening.

She wrote: ‘Getting my mammogram. Have you gotten yours ladies?

‘An annual screening mammography has decreased the DEATH RATE of breast cancer by 40%!!!’

Sharon shared the snap with her 2.3million Instagram followers, who flocked around to praise the Hollywood star for her candid comments about the disease.

Her post came during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which is an international health campaign organised by major breast cancer charities annually in October.

As well as increasing awareness about breast cancer, the annual initiative also aims to raise funds into research about the disease.

Other celebrities have flocked to support the campaign this year, with January Jones sharing an underwear snap to pledged her support for Breast Cancer Awareness month.

The Mad Men actress, 42, grinned as she posed in a light pink bra for the picture, which she shared with her one million Instagram followers last week.

January matched her bra with her pink ombre bobbed hair as she urged her followers to check their breasts regularly.

Alongside the snap, she said: ‘October is Breast Cancer awareness month! please please don’t procrastinate getting your mammograms/ultrasounds ladies!

‘Sending love to all who have fought and are currently fighting, and to those in my family who are, I love you and am standing with you!’

The model helped to promote Kit Undergarments in her post, who are donating five per cent of their sales this month to Women’s Cancer Research Fund.

Her picture was part of the brand’s breast cancer awareness initiative #kitstokickcancer, which a number of other celebrities, including Katy Perry and Mindy Kaling, have backed.

What is breast cancer screening?

Screening is a procedure which allows doctors to catch breast cancer while it is still in its infancy and therefore easier to treat.

It involves an X-ray test – known as a mammogram – to check for signs of cancer which are too small to see or feel.

The results of the mammogram will be sent to the women and her GP within two weeks. Around 5 per cent will be called back for further tests.

It is used to look for signs of breast cancer in women who don’t have any breast symptoms or problems.

Mammograms can also be used to look at a woman’s breast if she has breast symptoms or if a change is seen on a screening mammogram.

When used in this way, they are called diagnostic mammograms. They may include extra views (images) of the breast that aren’t part of screening mammograms.

As well as raising awareness for breast cancer, Sharon Stone has also been encouraging her fans to vote in the upcoming US election.

The Ratched actress urged the ‘sexy’ women of Florida to vote in a letter penned on Sunday.

She made a political statement as she posted the open letter, encouraging Florida women to vote for Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden.

She wrote: ‘As a mom, a woman, and someone who sees you, I urge you to believe me when I say trust is why voting for a woman in the White House will save your families’ lives. Vote #BidenHarris to live.’

Stone went on to say she’s a ‘longtime infectious disease worker’ and has even presented an award to Dr. Anthony Fauci, who’s on the Trump administration’s beleaguered White House Coronavirus Task Force.

‘I helped your families and friends with HIV/AIDS and I will be there to help you recover from this,’ Sharon continued.

Sharon wants a better future for her sons – Laird Vonne, 15; and Quinn Kelly, 14 – as well as Roan Joseph, 20; from her five-year marriage to Phil Bronstein, which ended in 2004.

The star has not shied away from using her social media platform to educate fans about the pandemic and express her political views.

She has also shared photos of herself wearing face masks, and has urged her followers to stay at home in order to help slow the spread of COVID-19.

Stone starred in films such as 1985’s King Solomon’s Mines and Total Recall in 1990.

Her most recent screen credit is Lenore Osgood in this year’s Netflix series Ratched, from TV wunderkind Ryan Murphy.

In the creepy, hospital-set show, she stars opposite Sarah Paulson as the infamous Nurse Mildred Ratched, first brought to life in an Oscar-winning performance by Louise Fletcher in 1975’s One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest.

matthew mcconaughey brutally shuts down carrie bickmores line of questioning on the project

Matthew McConaughey savagely shut down a question on how he ‘feels about’ president Donald Trump, during an interview on Wednesday night’s The Project.

The 50-year-old Hollywood actor had appeared on the Channel 10 panel show to discuss his new memoir, Greenlights – but awkwardly refused to answer a question on politics when queried by host Carrie Bickmore.

‘How do I feel about him?’ he said. ‘I want a fuller context and a longer form to talk about that.

‘If I said something to you now, one line could be taken out of context and could be put into a headline, so I don’t want to take the chance for that.

‘I need a longer form, where I know it’s word for word – everything I’m saying is being broadcast.’

Taken aback by his response, Carrie, 39, responded: ‘Well let’s lock in that chat for another day!’

She quickly wrapped up the interview, saying ‘Great to chat! It’s been fabulous. Thank you very much for your time.’

Matthew has rarely spoken out about his political views in the past.

But in an interview with BBC’s Andrew Marr in 2017, he was asked if ‘the cultural elite of America should give [Trump] a break.’

In response, Matthew said: ‘Well, they don’t have a choice now. He’s our president. And it’s very dynamic and as divisive of an inauguration and time we’ve ever had.

‘At the same time, it’s time for us to embrace and shake hands with this fact and be constructive with him over the next four years.’

His comments were in the aftermath of Trump’s election – and a year later, when he was asked to clarify his words, he gave a similar statement to The Daily Beast.

‘What I said, or thought I said, is that people were in denial and we have to accept the fact that he’s president,’ he said.

He said he would only express his views on camera in an unedited form, adding: ‘It’s just that I don’t want to become clickbait.’
