Brian Austin Green has appeared to throw shade at his ex-wife Megan Fox for her gushing tribute to new boyfriend Machine Gun Kelly.
On Wednesday, Megan, 34, posted a sexy mirror selfie of herself and her rapper boyfriend – real name Colson Baker – with the caption: ‘Achingly Beautiful Boy… My heart is yours.’
However, the public display of affection appeared to be too much for her ex Brian, 47, who threw shade just hours later by posting a snap of their three sons with the similar caption: ‘Achingly beautiful boys….. my heart is yours.’
Not-so-subtle dig: Brian Austin Green has taken aim at his ex Megan Fox by posting this similar caption to his Twitter and Instagram on Wednesday featuring their three children (as well as his elder son from a different relationship)
The former 90210 star had previously maintained that the pair had an amicable split, yet since then, Megan’s relationship with Kelly has moved at considerable speed.
Brian and Megan share three children together Bodhi, six, Journey, four, and Noah, seven, while he also has another son Kassius, 18, – who features in his post – from his previous relationship with actress Vanessa Marcil.
The pair filed for divorce after 11 years of marriage citing ‘irreconcilable differences’ in May this year.
See what he did there? Megan Fox posted this sexy mirror snap of herself with Machine Gun Kelly just hours before with the caption: ‘Achingly Beautiful Boy… My heart is yours.’
Sorry not sorry: It seems Brian, 47, has had a change of tact when it comes to his split with ex Megan Fox
Following the split, Brian spoke out to say it had nothing to do with ‘cheating’ and insisted that she and Kelly were just ‘friends’ despite them sharing racy scenes from the rapper’s music video.
Speaking on his podcast, Brian said: ‘I’ve never met [Machine Gun Kelly], but Megan and I talked about him and they’re friends at this point. And from what she’s expressed, he’s a really just nice, genuine guy. I trust her judgment. She’s always had really good judgment.’
However, last month, Megan appeared to reveal that the pair were more than just friends as she confessed she ‘knew’ something would happen between them before they’d even met.
Too much? The loved-up pair appeared in his music video earlier this year, and Megan has hinted there was an instant attraction
Instant chemistry: The pair starred together in Machine Gun Kelly’s music video Bloody Valentine
‘I was like, “Who is going to play this role?” And he was like, “Oh, we just got Machine Gun Kelly,” and immediately, I was like, “Uh oh,”‘ Megan recalled on the podcast Give Them Lala… With Randall.
‘Because I knew – I could feel that some wild s**t was going to happen to me from that meeting, but I wasn’t yet sure what,’ she added.
‘I just felt it like, deep in my soul – that something was going to come from that. So then, we met on set.’
The Transformers star even went so far as to say, she could see something akin to a soul mate in the rapper, or what she calls a ‘twin flame.’
The way they were: Fox and Green were side by side at PUBG Mobile’s #FIGHT4THEAMAZON Event at Avalon Hollywood in December 2019 in Los Angeles
She explained: ‘I knew right away that he was what I call a twin flame. Instead of a soul mate, a twin flame is actually where a soul has ascended into a high enough level that it can be split into two different bodies at the same time.’
‘So we’re actually two halves of the same soul, I think. And I said that to him almost immediately, because I felt it right away.’
Brian had stressed in his podcast back in May that he didn’t want Megan and Kelly to be seen as ‘villains’ or that he was a ‘victim.’
Though it seems he may have now had a change of heart, despite the fact he has also since moved on from the marriage.
Instagram official: Machine Gun Kelly shared his first relationship Instagram grid post with Fox since the two recently got together in a whirlwind romance
The actor has been linked to personality Courtney Stodden, as well dating model Tina Louise for a month, but it has been reported they have now split.
Earlier this week her ex Brian talked Fox on the podcast Hollywood Raw with Dax Holt and Adam Glyn.
He said he found out on his own that she was dating Machine Gun Kelly. ‘I found out in my own way. And that’s as much detail as I’ll give you on that one. I didn’t read about it or anything like that.’
As far as dealing with the split, the actor said it is going fine: ‘I think it’s going as well as it can.’
‘There’s no rule book to it. There’s no way of doing it right or doing it wrong. We are learning as we go. The important thing for us is just communicating as much as we can,’ he added.
The actor even defended his recent dating style in the interview, saying: ‘I’m not playing anybody. My life is just much more under a microscope than somebody else’s. Isn’t that dating?’ he offered.
‘Aren’t you supposed to talk to multiple people? It doesn’t mean I’m a s***** person. That’s what you’re supposed to do, meet people and experience life.’
