Lacey Turner has opened up about her experience with baby loss as she revealed she went back to work the day after suffering a miscarriage three years ago.

The EastEnders actress, 32, spoke about her ordeal for Channel 5 show Miscarriage: Our Story, alongside a selection of other high profile celebrities in order to highlight Baby Loss Awareness Week.

Lacey, who shares daughter Dusty with husband Matt Kay, revealed nobody at work knew she was pregnant when she had her first miscarriage, after she kept it quiet due to the taboo surrounding early pregnancy and the risk of foetal loss.

The TV star admitted she walked around on set feeling ‘heartbroken’ and ‘numb’, however nobody had a clue that anything was wrong as she carried on like nothing had happened to her.

During her appearance on the programme, Lacey said: ‘I went back to work the next day, carried on like nothing had happened, which actually makes me really sad now looking back. I was probably walking around feeling so heartbroken yet nobody would have had a clue.’

‘There’s this whole taboo about not speaking about pregnancy and keeping it a secret until your 12 weeks and we sort of said it’s so early so don’t tell anybody.’

‘I just felt so empty. I’ve gone from being so excited and we waited so long for this baby to feeling numb I guess.’

Lacey was 29 years old and seven weeks pregnant when she had her first miscarriage, where she recalled having heavy bleeding and stomach cramps.

Following the loss she fell pregnant again, however at the same point she again suffered a miscarriage, describing it as ‘so much worse’ than the first.

Lacey had to have surgery four months later to remove a small piece of foetus which was stuck in the cervix lining and heartbreakingly for Lacey she was unable to try for another baby until it was removed.

The mother-of-one later fell pregnant again and suffered bleeding at the seven week point, but their baby girl Dusty was born in July 2019.

She and Matt are expecting their second child in February 2021.

Lacey discussed her pregnancy during an interview on Loose Women on Friday.

Speaking from her home via live link, she admitted she’s battled with anxiety following two heart-breaking miscarriages, but attempts to ‘stay as positive as possible’ as her 14-month-old daughter Dusty ‘takes up most of my time’.

The soap star also gushed about her ‘brilliant’ husband Matt, who is a stay-at-home dad to their little girl.

Lacey admitted the happy news was a shock as she told panellists Kaye Adams, Nadia Sawalha, Coleen Nolan and Jane Moore: ‘It was a complete surprise, but a very nice one, which is always nice.’

The media personality also detailed the differences between her current pregnancy and when she carried Dusty.

She added: ‘With Dusty, I was quite sick at the beginning. But this time round I haven’t been so sick, which is always nice.

‘When you’ve already got a baby, you don’t have the time to think about it because you’re so busy with that one. I forget I’m pregnant quite a lot of the time and then I think, ”Oh, I can’t do that.”’

When asked if she’s managed to stay relaxed during this pregnancy, the thespian confessed: ‘I want to say yes, but probably not. I think the only difference is I haven’t had as much time to sit and think about it. But I’m still anxious.’

The former Our Girl star insisted she wants to maintain a positive outlook on life, despite her past fertility struggles.

Lacey explained: ‘I think I probably always will be, which I think it’s quite normal for people who have been on the journey I have.

‘But I try to stay as positive as possible. It is nice to not have the time to sit and think about it the whole time, because Dusty takes up most of my time.’

Jane Danson, Izzy Judd and Natasha Kaplinsky will also appear on Miscarriage: Our Story to discuss their own experiences.

She upped the glam with her beach-side look by choosing to accessorise with a chunky blue necklace and matching earrings.

Olivia held her brunette tresses back with a headband that matched her bikini and opted for a natural and bronzed makeup look.

She captioned the stunning post: ‘A beach and a bikini and no screaming toddler sounds reaaaally nice right now’.

Earlier this week Olivia revealed her new hair cut, which included getting ‘real bangs.’

Then, she called her boyfriend Christian McCaffrey, who she dubbed as her ‘ultimate hype man.’

‘I have bangs, they’re real bangs this time,’ she gushed to her beau, who tells her pal to stop filming, before he raves about her new look.

When asked if he liked them, the NFL dreamboat exclaimed ‘holy f**cking a**’ and told her he ‘loves them’ and started whooping.

Her man’s mom was less supportive of her bangs and jokingly quipped to only ask her opinion about them after they’ve grown out.

In August, she revealed she suffers from endometriosis on her Instagram Story to her 4.7 million followers.

She also explained in a People interview, last month, she was ‘trying to do the holistic route as of now’ rather than a laparoscopy.

At the time, the Rhode Island native revealed that she checked into the emergency room with ‘pain on my right side’ and discovered she had an ovarian cyst.

humiliated shayna jack cops verbal abuse from directing staff as she derails sas australia challenge

She came under fire when she tested positive to Ligandrol in both her A and B samples in Cairns in July 2019, ahead of the FINA World Championships in South Korea.

And Shayna Jack, 21, faced further adversity as she copped verbal abuse by directing staff Mark ‘Billy’ Billingham on Monday’s episode of SAS Australia.

‘You’re a disgrace!’ the former soldier yelled at the humiliated swimmer after she failed to shoot at the ‘enemy’ during the ‘life or death’ challenge.

Realising her mistake, Shayna said: ‘I should have fired because he was putting my life in danger because he had his weapon on me.’

Mark vented: ‘You couldn’t make a decision! Too busy worrying about being out of breath. You know what you are? A f***ing liability to all the people behind you

‘That leaves it to me, or someone else, to go and tell your mum and dad that old numpty nuts got us all f***ing killed nearly – and unfortunately, she’s dead! How does that sound?’

When Shayna admitted that she felt ‘terrible’, Mark took no pity as he replied: ‘All you had to do was think, observe and deal with it. You’re a disgrace!’

Shayna was at the centre of doping allegations last year, after testing positive for the banned muscle-enhancing substance Ligandrol.

She has regularly protested her innocence and denied knowingly taking the drug.

‘It’s something that is so far-fetched from what I’d ever think would happen to me,’ Shayna told The Sunday Project last year.

In the interview with host Lisa Wilkinson, Shayna said she was told anything she came into contact with prior to the test could have contaminated her sample.

‘There was a case in the past called the “kiss cocaine case” where someone had taken cocaine and then the partner, who was an athlete, kissed that person and they were contaminated because they had contact with something someone else had taken,’ she added.

More recently, Shayna spoke to Stellar magazine earlier this month about the ‘draining and horrible’ process she went through during the scandal last year.

She said she still dreams of being able to swim in the Tokyo Olympics in 2021, and will always stand up for what is right and ‘speak the truth’.

‘It has been a difficult and long process, but one thing has never changed for me from day one: I have never bought, possessed, been supplied with or used prohibited substances in any way,’ she told the publication.

Shayna is provisionally suspended, and has been for approximately 15 months. Her case is currently pending and her hearing has not yet taken place, but the exact date will not be released to the public.

shane warnes son jackson 21 admits hes clueless and has no life experience on sas australia

He left viewers shocked on last week’s episode of SAS Australia after revealing he had only tried 10 different foods in his life.

And on Monday, Jackson Warne admitted that despite having ‘no life experience’, he didn’t plan on riding on the coattails of the fame earned by his cricketer father, Shane Warne, 51.

The 21-year-old also explained that he wanted to use the episode’s gruelling ‘life or death’ course as a way to test himself ‘physically and mentally’ and see what he was capable of.

‘I don’t consider myself a celebrity at all,’ he told cameras ahead trying his luck at the demanding obstacle.

‘Obviously, my dad is a celebrity. The Warne last name is a celebrity, but I don’t think I’m famous or anything like that.

‘I’m such a young age. I haven’t had the life experience that other people have had. But this [the course] is an awesome test I can do to test myself physically and mentally’.

Jackson was then shoved along the course by the show’s directing staff. However, when his face mask was taken off, he didn’t shoot.

When asked why by Mark ‘Billy’ Billingham, Jackson said: ‘He’s got his gun down, Sir, he’s a friendly!’

Amazed by the model’s realisation, Mark praised him: ‘You’re a f***ing impressive person!’

Jackson left viewers gobsmacked last week after admitting he’d only tried ‘like, 10 different foods’ in his entire life.

And in an interview with news.com.au, he explained that his diet consists of: ‘Eggs, bacon, toast, cereal, burgers, nachos, chips, apples… that’s about it.

The model went on to reveal his typical day on a plate, which starts with ‘eggs, bacon and an oat shake’ for breakfast.

After going to the gym, Jackson feasts on ‘two burgers and a protein shake’ before tucking into pasta or lasagna for dinner.

‘It’s not like I don’t want to try other foods; it’s just that I enjoy what I’m eating and it works for me,’ Jackson said.

While filming SAS Australia in August, Jackson had the opportunity to eat a variety of foods he’d never tried before, including sushi, pineapple, rockmelon, mandarins and even steak.

Thanks to his experience, Jackson says he is now slowly attempting to broaden his diet at home.

‘My sister Brooke, she’s living with me at the moment, and she’s a really good cook so all the food she’s been having, I’ve been having a little nibble on,’ he said.
