The garment featured long sleeves and a pleated hemline while Leigh-Anne paired it with a silver clutch bag with a beaded embellishment.

The star added height to her frame with a pair of white strappy heels while she styled her raven locks into a sleek ponytail.

Leigh-Anne captioned the stunning snaps with: ‘Birthday weekend let’s go’.

It comes after Leigh-Anne grew emotional as she reflected on her own journey into the music industry on Sunday’s episode of The Search.

While giving heartfelt feedback to performer Jordan, the singer started to tear up as she revealed lots of people had doubted her in the past.

During Sunday’s show Leigh-Anne spoke very candidly about struggles she had faced in the past after one of the hopeful performer’s auditions.

She said: ‘So many people in my hometown said that I couldn’t do, didn’t believe in me, said I wasn’t good enough and I never never listened.

‘I got ‘believe’ tattooed on my neck and I kept believing and now I’m here… Sorry I don’t wanna get upset, but you’re so good and you’re gonna do so well!’

The Search, which was pre-recorded before the coronavirus pandemic lockdown, is a talent show on the look out for a band to go on tour with Little Mix.

Throughout the series there will be six categories with girl dance, girl vocal, vocal and instrument, as well as rap and R&B, coming up in other episodes.

Just before the Saturday night spectacle began, both Claudia and Tess shared backstage snaps of the duo looking thrilled for the night ahead.

The excitement was palpable, as Claudia captioned her post: ‘Not long now.’

Tess and Claudia are ensuring that they stand at least two metres apart throughout the episode.

Earlier in the evening, Tess took to her story to illustrate the extent of COVID restrictions at the Elstree studios, as she showed herself decked out in a visor as she headed into the complex.

Tess also shared a full-body snap of herself looking dazzling in her evening’s outfit, as she thanked her stylists and make-up artist in the caption for their work.

Twelve couples are taking to the floor in the first live show on Saturday, and they will be scored by judges Craig Revel-Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and Shirley Ballas.

Fourth judge Bruno Tonioli has been unable to travel back to the UK from his home in LA for the filming due to the COVID-19 crisis and his work commitments on Dancing With The Stars.

Already the BBC favourite has seen its highest ratings in three years, after finally making it to screens after months of uncertainly sparked by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Viewing figures averaged at 8.6 million and it is the show’s highest ratings since 2017.

This year’s couples have formed their own separate ‘bubbles’ to allow them to train and perform, and are being regularly tested to avoid a virus outbreak during filming.

The show is continuing to have a live audience, but members of the public will be seated in their separate households or ‘bubbles’ and will wear a mask throughout filming.

natalie portman discuses her new childrens book fables with eva longoria

She released her first children’s book, Fables, earlier this week.

And though she is busy preparing for her role in Thor: Love and Thunder in Australia, Natalie Portman took time to promote her new endeavor.

The 39-year-old actress had a video-call conversation with her ‘good friend’ Eva Longoria in a video posted to Instagram on Friday.

In the book, Natalie Portman’s Fables, the actress chose three classic tales and gave them a fresh revamp.

She took The Tortoise and the Hare, The Three Little Pigs and Country Mouse and City Mouse, and made them her own to better reflect the world today.

The Desperate Housewives actress joked that Natalie chose those stories because she found them ‘least problematic.’

‘I wanted to do stories that were with animals because I feel like all kids can have an equal access point with animals,’ Natalie said.

She explained she hoped readers would look at the characteristics and qualities of a character rather than physical attributes if it were to have been about people.

‘Of the animal stories I wanted ones that I loved the messages and thought they were relevant today,’ the Black Swan actress said.

For her version of The Tortoise and the Hare, it is a persistent and confident female tortoise that outpaces the hare, but she also said it still tells a story of their being ‘love’ in being focused.

‘The Tortoise and the Hare is one of my favorite life lessons,’ Eva said as it touches on so many themes.

And in the Three Little Pigs tale, she opted to make it a lesson on environmentalism and said that the ‘strong foundations’ built now refers to making the planet better for future generations to enjoy.

She even made the straw house built by one of the pigs, now built out of plastic straws.

Equal: 'I wanted to do stories that were with animals because I feel like all kids can have an equal access point with animals,' Natalie said and that the animals would allow children to see themselves in qualities rather than appearance

As for Country Mouse and City Mouse, Natalie loved the message of ‘true friendship’ and teaching kids to go deeper than superficial characteristics with friends.

‘I think story telling in general even movies, or TV, or books are ways of practicing empathy because we sit down and care about someone else’s life for a while,’ she said. ‘You’re practicing caring about another human and hopefully that takes you into the world in a different way.’

She went on to gush about her nine-year-old son Aleph and the ways he is already a little feminist, and includes women in his list of role models.

Natalie also said that growing up an only child and moving frequently, books were her ‘constant companion.’

‘I could always go and read a book and be engaged emotionally in a story,’ she said.

More empathy please: 'I think story telling in general even movies, or TV, or books are ways of practicing empathy because we sit down and care about someone else's life for a while,' she said. Eva said that while her two-year-old son Santiago is too young to read the book, he loved the detailed illustrations.

Before the book was released on October 20, a pre-order link included a letter from Portman herself, who reveals that she was introduced to the ‘feminist baby book’ after giving birth to her three-year-old daughter Amalia.

‘Every gift we received seemed to be a book about fierce girls, women who changed history and, yes, literal feminist babies,’ Portman said.

She added that she wasn’t given these kinds of books when her son Aleph was born, and she realized that all of the characters were males.

‘In response, I started changing the pronouns in my daughter’s classic books. I decided, for my own first children’s book, to use classic fables, because I didn’t want to feel like we had to throw out the history of child-raising,’ she added.

Wife and Husband: Portman has been married to Benjamin Millepied since 2012, and they share Aleph and Amalia. The family has traveled to Australia together as she is currently filming her highly-anticipated superhero sequel Thor: Love and Thunder (pictured in 2020)

Portman also added she wanted to make her stories, ‘reflective of the actual world, where about half the animal kingdom is male and half is female, and some are neither or both.’

She added that these classic tales, ‘have great messages’ about how ‘hard work pays off’ but these new versions are ‘gender-safe,’ adding that they aren’t saying that boys’ ‘inner lives’ are more valuable than girls.
