She worked as a writer and performer on Saturday Night Live from 2014 until her departure in 2019.

‘That job was hard, man. That job was like two jobs and very restrictive too. I wasn’t very free there.’

Leslie added that she does miss working alongside close pal and former co-star Kenan Thompson, 42, who she said ‘means so much to [her].’

Jones’ journey on Saturday Night Live began in 2014 when she joined the show’s writer’s room.

She, eventually, found her way to the stage and gained praise, by fans and critics, for her memorable performances on series’ Weekend Update segment.

She told Entertainment Tonight that her time on SNL made her a ‘better performer.’

And Leslie is set to put her performance skills on display as the host of ABC’s reboot of the beloved game show Supermarket Sweep.

She described the gig as ‘a comedian’s dream come true’ in her interview with ET.

Supermarket Sweep first premiered on ABC in 1967 and was hosted by Bill Malone until its finale in 1967.

The gameshow was rebooted on the network in 1990 and was famously hosted by David Ruprecht.

Despite coming to an end in 1995, Supermarket Sweep was revived in 2000 with Reprecht reprising his role as host until 2003.

In a recent interview with People, Leslie opened up about her excitement over the series and her personal favorite part of being part of a game show.

‘This one was really special because I wanted to give money to regular people. If you give somebody $100,00, that’s the biggest”‘God bless you” you could ever give to somebody,’ explained the actress to the outlet.

She added: ‘I want people to see that it’s possible to still win.’

Leslie noted that she will be ‘bringing a little bit of [herself]’ to the show, while still maintaining the show’s signature game play.

“The game play in sweep has always been the strongest part of the show. Now I am bringing a little bit of me and joy and fun and joking and messing with the contestants.

‘It’s just wonderful. You get to see their real personality when they pull up to the sweep, you’re like, ‘Oh, this is what you’re about. Oh, okay. I like this,”‘ she concluded.

eva mendes offers a brutal response to the morning show host larry emdur

He may be a pin-up for middle-aged women across Australia, but did The Morning Show host Larry Emdur once catch the eye of Hollywood siren Eva Mendes?

According to his telling, the pair once ‘had a moment’ while crossing paths in a hotel foyer in Sydney in 2007, but his co-host Kylie Gillies has never believed him.

Fortunately, they had the opportunity to set the record straight on Friday when they interviewed Eva, 46, in her capacity as a McHappy Day ambassador.

As they wrapped up their interview, Kylie, 53, said: ‘Eva, as we say goodbye, I just want to clear something up, if I could, if you can indulge me for just one moment.

‘Larry, my co-host here, says that he was in LA about 13 years ago, he was in a hotel foyer…’

Larry, 55, then interrupted: ‘No, Sydney!’

Kylie continued: ‘Sydney, it was? I thought it was LA. It was in Sydney. And he saw you in the foyer and that you locked eyes – this is what he’s telling me – and that you had a moment.

‘Now, he’s been dining out on that story for such a long time. Have you ever seen this face before?’

Before Eva got a chance to respond, Larry jumped in: ‘The story was – that’s not the story – the story was that I locked eyes on you while you were looking the other way. That’s the story I’ve been telling!’

'Now I remember!' The 46-year-old actress played along with the joke by pretending she remembered the 'look' she gave Larry at the time, and pulled a disgusted expression

Humouring the hosts, the Hitch star replied: ‘That makes more sense. That I recall!’

She then played along with the joke by pretending she remembered the ‘look’ she gave Larry at the time, and pulled a disgusted expression.

‘That’s it! Just before you called the police,’ replied Larry with a laugh. ‘That’s exactly… now I remember!’

Of course, if the ‘moment’ did indeed happen, it wouldn’t have led to anything.

Larry has been happily married to wife Sylvie since 1995, and the couple share two adult children, daughter Tia and son Jye.

Eva was also in a long-term relationship with filmmaker George Augusto at the time, but they would split three years later, in 2010.

She began dating Canadian actor Ryan Gosling, whom she met on set of The Place Beyond the Pines, in 2011.

They share two daughters, Esmeralda, six, and Amada, four.

Golden Globe winner Sarah Paulson plays the mother from hell in the first trailer for Hulu horror movie Run, which premieres November 20.

The Tampa-born 45-year-old portrays overbearing single mom Diane Sherman – who isolates, homeschools, and cares for her 17-year-old daughter Chloe played by newcomer Kiera Allen.

Chloe is a paralyzed, wheelchair-bound straight-A student who’s told by Diane that she suffers from serious medical conditions including asthma, diabetes, arrhythmia, and hemochromatosis.

However, Chloe is horrified to discover that the label on one of her many prescription bottles peels away to reveal the drugs were actually dispensed under Diane’s name.

The brave teenager then embarks on a journey to uncover why her overprotective mother has been gaslighting her and keeping a ‘dark, sinister secret from her.’

The camera then cuts to action shots of Chloe on the streets solo, crawling with her hands past a staircase, and eventually hospitalized on a ventilator.

‘You may not understand this right now. But I am doing what I know is best for you,’ said Diane ominously.

Filmmaker Aneesh Chaganty made history casting Kiera, who’s the first disabled actress to lead a thriller for an American studio since Susan Peters starred in John Sturges’ 1948 film The Sign of the Ram.

‘To see a character in a wheelchair who is, not to give too much away, but who is really kind of a hero and is her own person, and has her own mind and her own journey independent of her disability, and to see a character whose journey is really not defined by her disability – it’s defined by who she is as a person is a really cool thing,’ Allen told Collider of her big-screen debut back in 2018.
