Fans have called the current season of The Bachelorette ‘the most boring ever’ in scathing social media posts.

And in a hilarious turn of events, the Channel 10 series has hilariously trolled itself by mistake.

A new promotional image for The Bachelorette features the logo for a mattress and bedding retailer called Snooze in the right hand corner.

It reads: ‘Bought to you by Snooze’ indicating the brand is a sponsor of the reality show.

It comes after viewers have slammed the dating series for being ‘boring’ this year, with one tweeting: ‘Is the Aussie bachelorette/bachelor seasons always this boring?’

Another wrote: ‘I know I said I just wanted to see people who wanted real love on this show. Turns out, that is extremely boring and I take it all back.’

It’s not the first time that the show has engaged in some interesting advertising.

Last month, viewers were quick notice a not-so-subtle use of product placement as the cast enjoyed an ice cream product.

At the beginning of the episode, a handful of the remaining ladies vying to win Locky Gilbert’s heart were spotted by a table with a plate full of Magnum ice-creams.

At one point one of Locky’s suitors is heard saying, ‘Alright. I’m having an ice cream,’ before walking over to the bowl to help herself.

It was enough to drive the Twitterverse nuts, with fans slamming the show for the shameless in-your-face ad.

‘Also, it’s a very sizable cheese platter. And is that a magnum of champers?’ a second wrote.

In the following commercial break, a voice over was heard thanking the show’s sponsor, Magnum.

former afl player jimmy bartels football boots business goes bankrupt

Jimmy Bartel’s football boots business, XBlades, has gone bankrupt just four years after he invested in it.

According to a report by the Herald Sun on Friday, the 36-year-old’s company has been handed over to an insolvency firm.

The company was founded by Bill Spyros in 1989, and at the height of its success, its spiked boots were worn by legendary sports stars such as David Beckham.

But Spyros stepped down as director in July, which marked the beginning of the end for the decades-spanning business.

According to the Herald Sun, Jimmy claimed he was just a ‘silent investor’ and hadn’t ‘had any involvement in the company for two years’.

He invested in the company back in 2016, and revealed he’d poured his ‘own cash’ into the enterprise.

In a statement put out by XBlades at the time, Jimmy exited his ‘long partnership’ with Adidas to take up with the company.

The former Australian rules footballer was appointed product development director, developing the latest ranges of boots.

Jimmy first pulled on a pair of XBlades when he was just 13, and said he wanted to make the brand ‘a bit cooler’.

‘I believe in it that much I actually put my own money into it,’ he said at the time.

‘This is not an ambassadorship or “get upfront and spruik the brand”, I really believe in XBlades, and they were my first footy boots when I started playing as a junior at Bell Park.’

He added: ‘I know boots, I’ve spent too many hours in footy boots.’
