borussia dortmund set to announce the 25m signing of jude bellingham

Borussia Dortmund are set to unveil the £25million signing of teenage sensation Jude Bellingham from Birmingham.

The starlet, who is braced to become the world’s most expensive 17-year-old, flew to Germany for his medical last Thursday after Dortmund fought off competition from Manchester United.

And now the Bundesliga giants have teased supporters ahead of the announcement with a video of Julian Brandt strumming the chords to the infamous Beatles hit ‘Hey Jude’.

The transfer will reportedly earn the Championship outfit in excess of £30million should certain performance targets be met.

It has also been claimed by German outlet BILD that Bellingham has sealed a five-year contract – and will earn €3m (£2.7m) in wages each year, with an overall total of €15m (£13.5m).

Dortmund chiefs are said to be delighted after wrapping up negotiations for the midfielder, and will harbour ambitions that Bellingham will become an invaluable asset in a similar vein to Jadon Sancho.

The young prodigy was highly coveted by several elite European clubs, despite having only broken into Birmingham’s first team this season, with Bayern Munich also falling by the wayside.
