TO be Lewis Hamilton for a day.

The F1 ace has amassed a £230m fortune that allows him to indulge in the best boys’ toys around.

And boy does the racing legend know how to spend it – splashing his cash on the best cars, and a yacht that could earn him the title of ultimate celebrity petrol head.

The eco-warrior equalled Michael Schumacher’s 91 race wins at the Eifel Grand Prix last weekend, as he aims to win his seventh world championship

Join SunSport in taking a look at his staggering fleet of cars, as well as that super yacht that sees Hamilton, 35, live like a king.

I don’t know anything about wine. I don’t know a huge amount about art. But what I do know is cars, and I’m very particular about them.”

CARS

Lewis has a fleet of motors worth around… wait for it… £13 million.

Of course, being a driver, he’s a car fanatic and collects everything from supercars to vintage classics that he divides between two garages – one in Monaco and another in LA.

“I don’t know anything about wine. I don’t know a huge amount about art. But what I do know is cars, and I’m very particular about them,” he once said.

Amusingly, so they keep their value, when Hamilton doesn’t want to drive them back home – he reportedly has a tow-truck that comes to pick them up from whatever restaurant or club he’s at.

Here’s just some of his extravagant collection.

PAGANI ZONDA 760 LH

The rarest motor in Hamilton’s possession is a £1.6m Pagani Zonda that was made entirely for him.

The exterior and interiors are purple, and at the request of the sports star he opted for a manual gearbox instead of the usual sequential one.

Hamilton's Pagani Zonda cost him £1.6m but he hates driving it

His reasons? Because he hated getting behind the wheel of it initially.

“The Zonda is terrible to drive!” he once said.

“It’s the best-sounding car I own, but handling-wise it’s the worst.”

That could be why in 2015 Hamilton got in an accident that caused some significant damage to the cherished motor.

1966 SHELBY 427 COBRA

The highest valued car in Hamilton’s collection is this stunning classic.

Believed to be worth around £4m, it’s a rare sight – unless you’ve seen the racer cruising along the Pacific Coast Highway in LA.

Hamilton was often spied taking his ex-missus Nicole Scherzinger for a spin in this beauty, which would have him standing out from the crowd.

LAFERRARI

Every car aficionado worth their weight in salt owns this £1m Ferrari – another collector’s item that rises in value as the years go by.

Capable of reaching a top speed of 217 mph, the LaFerrari can hit 0-62 mph in just 2.4 seconds, meaning it’s Hamilton’s fastest car he owns.

Footballers including Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Heung-Min Son also drive this frighteningly fast motor that must be just like handling a racing car.

MERCEDES-AMG PROJECT ONE

Lewis has already got his hands on a Project One, that’s not even supposed to be out till next year.

He was heavily involved in the production of the plug-in hybrid sports car that’s capable of hitting a top speed of 217 mph.

Only 275 are going to be released at a cost of around £2m.

Make that 274 now, since Hamilton has one.

MERCEDES-AMG SLS BLACK

He already owned a SL Black Series, so why not add the SLS, right?

Hamilton, who clearly has a need for speed, added this supercar to his garage probably because it’s the fastest Mercedes in production.

Powered by a 6.2-litre V8 engine that produces 622bhp – the SLS can reach a top speed of 196 mph.

It also hits 0-60 in just 3 seconds – making it the ideal car for Hamilton to get his thrills off the track with. For a price tag of £230k, it’s just what you’d expect really.

MCLAREN P1

Despite splitting with McLaren’s racing team, Hamilton can’t have felt too aggrieved with his former employers because in 2015 he added a £2m P1 to his extensive list of rides.

The P1 has a 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine, which is twinned with an electric motor that means the supercar has a total power and torque output of 903 bhp and 980 Nm of torque.

In real talk that means it’s fast and powerful, can hit a top of 217 mph and 0-60 mph in under 2.7 seconds.

1967 FORD MUSTANG SHELBY GT500

The second classic car that’s part of his fleet, fans of the Hollywood movie Gone In 60 Seconds might recognise this motor as looking to similar to one of the Eleanor models from the film.

Hamilton had his customised by Oklahoma shop Classic Recreations for additional cost.

At auctions, these can fetch up to £750k, and you can bet Hamilton’s is in tip-top condition. That said, we doubt he’ll ever sell it.

Lewis Hamilton says he feels like ‘giving up on everything’ in post about environment that has fans fearing for the F1 superstar

BEST OF THE REST

When the Mercedes-Maybach 6 came out in 2016, Hamilton made sure he got his hands on the concept car.

The 2×2 coupe is completely electric, and can run up to 200 miles before it’ll need recharging.

Hamilton also has another Mercedes – the Maybach S600, which is a luxurious chauffeur’s car with a partition separating the front seats from the back.

Both those motors have a combined worth of around £800k.

And Hamilton doesn’t mind swapping four wheels for two – sometimes taking his £6,500 Honda CRF450RX Motocross Bike around the dirt tracks of California.

Then there’s also his Maverick X3 dune buggy that would’ve set him back around £20k, that’s also electric in theme with his eco-warrior status.

BY SEA

Lewis used to own a private jet –  a Bombardier Challenger 605 worth £25m, until he sold it this year presumably to reduce his carbon footprint.

So now he has to explore new territories by sea which – let’s face it – is the only thing left where Hamilton can get his kicks.

That’s why he reportedly spent £5m on a gorgeous Sunseeker 90 yacht that he often entertains guests on, including supermodels Kendall Jenner and Bella Hadid.

The boat is really just like a home, has a huge master bedroom with a king-size bed, a walk-in wardrobe and a big shower room.

And at 91.9 feet long, it certainly won’t get lost at sea. On the verge of his sixth world championship and a garage to die for – Lewis, we salute you.

justin gaethje reveals moment shared with emotional khabib nurmagomedov following ufc 254

Justin Gaethje has revealed what he told Khabib Nurmagomedov in the immediate aftermath of his loss at UFC 254 during emotional scenes inside the octagon on Fight Island.

The Highlight entered the lightweight title fight on the back of huge momentum having beaten perennial winner Tony Ferguson to earn his shot at the Dagestani king.

But Nurmagomedov demonstrated why he is one of the greatest fighters to grace the sport with yet another dominant performance, setting a frenetic pace in the first round before securing a triangle submission in the second.

And after earning his 29th career victory, Nurmagomedov let out a flood of emotion in the centre of the octagon, releasing months of built up agony following the untimely death of his father, Abdulmanap.

The 57-year-old died of coronavirus in a Moscow hospital in July, and his death has been agonising for the lightweight champion who idolised the man that nurtured and developed him into a UFC star.

Gaethje was seen consoling the 32-year-old while the pair were alone in the octagon, and the American has revealed the calming words he gave to the champion.

‘I said “I haven’t had the chance to tell you that I am so sorry for your dad’s loss, but you have just made your father really proud,”‘ the fan-favourite told BT Sport.

Gaethje’s third career defeat comes as a blow but the 31-year-old is confident that he can bounce back.

‘Right now it hurts,’ he admitted. ‘There is not a lot of people that can make me feel better. This is on me. I need to go home and I need to deal with this on my own because I stepped in there alone.’

When interviewed by Jon Anik in the octagon after the bout, Gaethje said sharing the stage with Nurmagomedov made him feel ‘alive’.

‘I felt alive. That’s why I step in here. Adrenaline, endorphins released. The only reason I stuck here was to give this main his praises. He is tough, he is so strong, he has made his father so proud.

‘I fight for a living. The best thing about getting choked out is there’s nothing really consequential to your long term health. I’m ready for the next one whenever. I’m in good shape, I don’t want to get too far. So six weeks, eight weeks.’

Following Khabib’s shock retirement from mixed martial arts, it won’t be too long before Gaethje gets another shot at the lightweight title, with The Highlight in the mix alongside Dustin Poirier, Tony Ferguson and Conor McGregor.

liverpool fans step up tv boycott for sheffield united match and raise 81000 for local foodbanks

Liverpool fans raised tens of thousands for foodbanks on Saturday night by boycotting the pay-per-view match between their club and Sheffield United.

By the time Jurgen Klopp’s team kicked off against the Blades at 8pm, the running total of the donations had risen to £81,000 according to supporters’ group Spirit of Shankly, who organised the protest.

Fans across the country have expressed their opposition to being charged £14.95 by the Premier League to watch games on Box Office in addition to the subscription charges they already pay Sky Sports and BT.

Spirit of Shankly asked Reds supporters to donate to food-banks rather than put extra money into the Premier League coffers, following the work done by Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford.

The group asked Liverpool supporters to sacrifice watching their team live, saying in a statement: ‘Don’t sign up to the profiteering. Boycott. There is a humanitarian crisis in our country which is only going to worsen.’

The success of the boycott puts pressure on the Premier League to reduce prices for the next round of games.

ufc supremo dana white pays tribute to khabib nurmagomedov after his career ending victory

UFC president Dana White has heaped praise on Khabib Nurmagomedov after he announced his shock retirement following his UFC 254 win over Justin Gaethje.

The Russian defeated Gaethje early in the second round of their Saturday night fight but revealed that victory was his last in MMA.

White also claimed that Khabib broke his foot three weeks ago and nearly did not take part in the UFC 254 contest this weekend, while it has also been revealed the Russian contracted mumps in the fight build-up.

White told the media after Khabib’s final victory: ‘What this guy has been through, we’re all lucky that we got to see him play tonight. Apparently he was in the hospital and broke his foot three weeks ago.’

‘He’s got two broken toes and a bone in his foot that’s broken or something like that. That’s what his corner was telling me. He never told anybody and was walking around.

‘He is one of the toughest human beings on the planet. He’s the number one pound-for-pound fighter in the world and we seriously need to put him up there as a GOAT status.’

It has been a difficult few months for Khabib, who lost his father at the start of July due to coronavirus.

‘Today, I want to say, this was my last fight. No way am I going to come here without my father. It was first time, after what happened with my father, when UFC called me about Justin.

‘I talk with my mother three days, she don’t want that I go fight without father. I promised her, it’s going to be my last fight, and if I give my word, I have to follow this. It was my last fight here.

‘I know only one thing I want from UFC, you guys have to be me on No. 1 pound-for-pound fighter in the world, because I deserve this.’

White claimed he believed something was wrong with the Russian fighter in the build-up to the fight, but was still surprised at his bombshell post-fight news.

Khabib’s coach confirmed after the fighter’s retirement that he had contracted mumps in his training programme which was described as the ‘worst camp’ ever.

He added: ‘I could tell. The way he acted at the weigh-ins (and) the way that he acted when he was walking out tonight.

‘He didn’t look like himself, he was breathing heavy and taking deep breaths, but wow.’

White was asked whether Khabib could make his way back to MMA later on in his life, in a move that would replicate Conor McGregor highly-anticipated return later this year.

White said he will not force Khabib into a MMA return and said the Russian has a broken foot

The UFC president said he will give Khabib the space he needs to mourn his father’s death and will not force him into a decision to return.

White continued: ‘If the guys want to fight, let them fight. If they don’t want to fight they don’t want to fight.

‘Let him take some time off and heal, not physically but emotionally, with what he’s going through from losing his father.’

The UFC lightweight champion extended his unblemished record to 29 wins, zero defeats with the victory over Gaethje at Saturday’s UFC 254.

UFC rival McGregor also paid respect to Khabib and his career following the shock news on Saturday night.

The Irishman tweeted: ‘Good performance @TeamKhabib,’ he wrote. ‘I will carry on. Respect and condolences on your father again also. To you and family. Yours sincerely, The McGregors.’
