Good morning one and all, the best Flat meeting in the entire world is here.

There may be no pageantry, no crowd and no royalty – but the action on the track is as good as ever.

There’s been 10mm of rain overnight and the ground is reportedly Good To Soft, so bear that in mind when you have a bet.

Stay tuned throughout the day. We’ll have all the best tips, previews, results and replays from Day 1.

The King’s Stand sprint is the feature with Battaash hoping to make it third time lucky.

Earlier in the day, the Group 1 Queen Anne is the other big race, with Aidan O’Brien’s Circus Maximus the one the bookies have chalked up as jolly.

Good luck!

Cox and Kirby at it again as Supremacy impresses in Middle Park – Majestic Dawn springs 40-1 Cambridgeshire shock

CLIVE Cox and Adam Kirby were at it again as Supremacy stole the show in the Group 1 Middle Park.

The trainer-jockey duo have enjoyed a brilliant season on the big stage and their latest sprinting star blew their rivals away at a gusty Newmarket.

Quick out the stalls, Kirby took Supremacy to the front and it was a case of catch me if you can.

Kirby got the fractions spot on as only favourite Lucky Vega managed to put up a real challenge.

But Supremacy held on to win at 13-2 by half-a-length from the Irish raider, with Minzaal back in third.

The likes of Golden Horde, Harry Angel and Lethal Force have all thrived under Cox and Supremacy looks to be the latest star to emerge from the Lambourn yard.

Cox smiled: “He’s a complete speedball and likes to get on with it.

“Adam’s ridden him beautifully, he got it spot on and I’m delighted with how he saw that out.

“But I’m really excited for next year too. I think he’s got more strengthening and growing to do over winter and he’s just pure class.”

Sprinting will be his game next season and the bookies made him an 8-1 shot for the Commonwealth Cup at Royal Ascot, a race Cox won this year with Golden Horde.

He added: “I don’t think we’ll be stretching him out anymore next year. We only need to polish what we’ve got.

“He’s got that speed. We realised at Goodwood that the best way to ride him was like that.

“I’m not sure why he was overlooked in this today. People have short memories don’t they!

“We’ve had a tremendous season, especially with the two-year-old crop as they have been amazing.

“Any winner is special, but that feeling of standing on that stand, even though there wasn’t a huge crowd around us, it was still extremely satisfying.”

Majestic Dawn sprung a 40-1 shock in the Cambridgeshire under an emotional Paul Hanagan.

After nearly quitting following a broken back suffered in a fall last February, he partnered Oliver and Paul Cole’s horse to his first big race win since returning last month.

Hanagan said: “I’m lost for words.

“It was a long road back to fitness, so this is special. I owe the comeback to so many people.

“I don’t think you’ll see many Cambridgeshires won like that!

“We got the rail, he was a little bit keen, so I took him away. After that I just needed to point him.”

Earlier on the card, Alcohol Free landed a touch in the Group 1 Cheveley Park for the Andrew Balding-Oisin Murphy team.

Well-backed late into 7-2, she travelled brilliantly under the Champion Jockey and saw off challenges from all corners.

Favourite Miss Amulet ran into second but Balding’s brave decision to jump from a defeat in a Group 3 to a Group 1 paid off.

He said: “That was great. We’ll put her away for the season now and hope to step her up in trip next season. She should get a mile.”

Real Betis vs Real Madrid LIVE SCORE: Benzema smashes visitors back level – stream, TV, La Liga latest updates

52, Benzema… RATTLES THE BAR!

It’s still shaking I thinking.

Brilliant touch to bring down a cross from the left and he lashed his shot goalwards from 12 yards.

It stayed hit, and cannoned straight off the underside of the bar, inches away from going over the line.

Replays show he might have been a tad offside.

Adesanya: “He’s dumb and he walks forward and he throws shots.

“That’s what makes it really exciting, and that’s what I’m looking forward to. I’m looking forward to this big, inflated ignoramus, running up on me, trying to throw shots as I keep moving and sticking him.

“He’s not scared to walk forward and just throw, and he’s strong.”

Costa: “First of all, I think he’s a counter-striker.

“Everybody here saw when he fought Romero. If one guy doesn’t push him, he will not push out. He stood, the guy came for him.

“So I will try to push him, to bring him to the fight, but if he avoid the fight I will not chase him all the time. I will go back to the middle and cut the angles and try to make the fight happen.”
