GOOD MORNING FOOTY FANS

Chelsea look to be inching closer to the signing of Kai Havertz, if this conversation is anything to go by.

In what appears to be a leaked message chain between Havertz’s sister and a friend, his move to Stamford Bridge is going ahead.

In screenshots obtained by the Football Terrace Podcast, somebody wishes Havertz’s sister Lea a happy birthday before cheekily asking: “My colleague asked me about your young sibling. Does he change clubs?”

To which she said: “He’s moving to London next month.”

Thiago Alcantara could be given the No 6 shirt at Liverpool.

Dejan Lovren is the current occupier of that squad number at Anfield but he is close to joining Zenit St Petersburg.

The former Barcelona star has a year left on his contract but Bayern Munich are yet to receive a bid for him.

And David Silva is ready for his final game for Man City.

The Spanish playmaker will play his 309th and last Premier League match against Norwich on Sunday.

“When I look back at everything, I could never in my wildest dreams have imagined what I would achieve,” he said.

celtic slam bolingolis stupidity for breaking covid rules on secret spain trip as sturgeon considers axing football scaled

CELTIC say it is ‘difficult to imagine a more irresponsible action’ after Boli Bolingoli travelled to coronavirus-hit Spain without the club’s knowledge.

The Hoops are livid with the full-back after he failed to inform them of his trip before failing to quarantine upon his return to Glasgow.

Bolingoli has now put the Scottish game at risk with the government claiming football could be halted after two breaches just weeks into the new season.

A spokesperson for the government said: “We are currently in discussion with the club and football governing bodies to establish the facts.

“If confirmed as another serious incident within Scottish football, where protocols have been breached at the risk of wider public health, then the Scottish Government will have little choice but to consider whether a pause is now needed in the resumption of the game in Scotland.”

The Belgian unreservedly apologised for his actions and the club say they will now apologise to every SPFL club and say Bolingoli will be disciplined.

It is difficult to imagine a more irresponsible action in current circumstances and we find it beyond explanation

Celtic Spokesperson

A statement read: “Celtic Football Club unreservedly condemns and apologises for the behaviour of the player Boli Bolingoli in travelling to Spain without informing the club and in failing to observe quarantine restrictions.

“It is difficult to imagine a more irresponsible action in current circumstances and we find it beyond explanation. The club will take immediate action through our own disciplinary procedures.

“Celtic are in touch with every SPFL club today, and with all relevant authorities, to apologise for the fact that one of our employees has created so much additional difficulty through his actions.

“All of our playing and backroom staff have been tested twice for Covid-19 since this incident and all, including the player in question, have tested negative. While this comes as a relief to all concerned, it in no way diminishes the seriousness or stupidity of the player’s actions.

“Since the Covid -19 crisis began, we have had a safe and healthy squad of players, recording not one positive test. As a club, we have worked tirelessly to ensure a sustained, safe environment for all.

“We have led the way in working with the football authorities and Scottish Government to establish the most rigorous, effective protocols and working practices, which ultimately led to the resumption of football.

“We could have done no more in this area.

“It is a matter of the deepest regret to us that the behaviour of one individual has jeopardised that reputation and reflected discredit on football more generally.”
