Rogan claimed he experienced “insane depictions of struggle and tragedy” from around 180 years ago.

He also revealed he began to hypnotise himself with the sound of his own breath.

Speaking to his 10.3million followers, he recalled: “Tonight I had the weirdest, most psychedelic experience in the sauna.

“I usually start off my sauna sessions listening to an audio book, and tonight I’m re-listening to ‘Empire Of The Summer Moon’ S.C Gwynne’s epic tale of the Comanche Indians in the South West.

“I do breathing exercises where I breathe in deeply for six seconds, and then exhale for six.

“I got into my rhythm, and I started to get overwhelmed thinking about these insane depictions of struggle and tragedy, all of it taking place from around 180 years ago to the late 1900s.

“The stories of the raids, and the battles, and the massacres were both horrific and fascinating.

“I kept thinking, ‘this was not that long ago’.

“Eventually I took the AirPods out and just got lost in the breathing.

“The images from the stories lit up my imagination, and the sound of my own breath began to hypnotise me.

“The sensation became really intense, and it felt as if a layer of whatever it is that keeps me from understand myself and the world around me was peeled away.

“Two words echoed in my head, ‘love and understanding’.

“For the last 10 to 15 minutes these words and the ideas that came with them danced in my head to the sounds of inhaling and exhaling, transforming my thinking like a beautiful mind virus.

“When it was over I felt this overwhelming desire to just hug people and be nice to people.

“I also felt a slight dread that this was going to wear off.

“I hesitated writing this down because I’m absolutely I am not going to do it justice with just words, but I didn’t want to forget that this happened.”

In response, one fan said: “You reached a different level of connection. F***ing rad man congrats.”

Another commented: “That’s amazing man.”

And one joked: “Think that’s just heatstroke kicking in mate.”

welsh mma star mason jones asks dana white to find him a ufc monster after matching mcgregors cage warriors record

WELSH Cage Warriors champion Mason Jones called for Dana White to find him a ‘monster’ UFC opponent.

It followed after he became the first fighter to hold two belts at the same time in the promotion since Conor McGregor achieved the feat in 2012.

McGregor, 32, would debut in the UFC a year later and Jones – who added the welterweight title to his lightweight strap – wants to do the same.

The unbeaten 25-year-old sent out a message to UFC president Dana White and matchmaker Sean Selby.

Jones said: “What I want to say and want I really want to say, I asked Graham, I asked Ian, to dig up the biggest monster they could find and unfortunately it’s not enough.

“So, I’ve got a challenge for Dana White for Sean Selby, for anyone in the UFC, I’ll be ready to go in a week, in two weeks, in four.

“Find the biggest, deadliest lightweight monster you can find – because I’m a lightweight guy – and I’ll go out there and dismantle him.

“Whether it’s Abu Dhabi, which is looking kinda good, or anywhere else, dig me up the biggest monster you can find and I’ll put him away in two.”

Jones celebrated a successful move up in division at welterweight as he finished Adam Proctor inside a round in an empty BEC Arena in Manchester.

Proctor was dropped during the first session, and was later stopped following some viscous ground and pound.

After the becoming a two-weight champ, Jones said: “They look good on my shoulders.

“Everyone knew I could do this. I knew I could get him out of there early, and I showed that.”

He said: “I scored my first hundred in New Zealand in Christchurch. I came off at lunch and threw my lunch up.

“I knew all the grounds and where it was easier [to throw up]. Lord’s was so much easier because the toilets were away from the dressing rooms.”

He kept it secret, as he “didn’t want my relationship in the dressing room to change — I knew what the reaction would be”.

Two-time Ashes winner “Freddie”, who has four kids with wife Rachel, 42, told 5Live’s Headliners: “I never look back on old games. I can’t identify with that person. I see this person who is a stone-and-a-half heavier than what I am now.”

He added: “I think in some ways I thought the way I was dealing with it I had a lid on it and I was muddling along in my own way…

“I remember when I started making myself sick it felt like my decision. I was getting hammered in the papers for being overweight. I was known as the fat cricketer and it was the quick fix to do it.

“Then I went from doing it if I had a drink and doing it if I had eaten foods I didn’t want to eat or felt I shouldn’t eat, to then doing it most meals.

“That was then it started controlling me.”
