Latrell Mitchell is carving a new physique for the 2025 NRL season and he has given his followers a sneak peak at his transformation in a bizarre video promoting his own range of budgie smugglers.
The South Sydney Rabbitohs fullback endured a torrid 2024 season, including injuries, suspensions and finally a one-match suspension after he was photographed in a hotel room with a bag of mysterious white powder.
Mitchell is determined to prove his commitment to returning coach Wayne Bennett and has reportedly shed 5kg already, even removing his home bar and replacing it with a private gym as he gave up alcohol.
Now he is showing off the fruits of his labour.
Mitchell has his own fashion label called Winmarra and posted the video to promote his new range of Indigenous-themed budgie smugglers with a bit of help from Souths teammate Jai Arrow.
Budgie smugglers, for the uninitiated, are extremely small swimwear briefs that leave little to the imagination.

Mitchell and Arrow are filmed on the Souths fullback’s farm in a range of positions, chatting about the heat.
‘Hey Trell … f*** it’s hot,’ Arrow starts on the video.
‘Yeah, she’s warm, hey,’ Mitchell replies, cracking open a can.
‘Nah, she’s not cold, is she?’ Arrow says.
The clip then starts to get a bit lowbrow, with Mitchell climbing onto a tractor and saying: ‘Who put the f***ing heater on? F*** me.’
‘Bloody stinkin’ hot, isn’t it?’ Arrow continues, swapping a hay bale for a cold one of his one.
The video continues along the same vein, with the pair opening tins and commenting on the heat in their tiny swim briefs.
‘Hotter than a bull’s n**sack out here,’ Mitchell says.

Mitchell has been on a self-imposed booze ban since his controversial 2024 season, but fans can relax, it doesn’t appear he has fallen off the wagon.
While the video implies the duo are drinking beer, on closer inspection it appears they are more likely downing cans of Mount Franklin sparkling water.
The video has caught the attention of at least one Souths teammate, with Cody Walker joking that he wasn’t missing Arrow at pre-season training.
‘I’m over @jaiarrow voice,’ he posted.
‘Grouse content though.’
Mitchell won’t get sanctioned by the league for the F-bombs in the clip, but his mouth has got him in trouble before.
After losing their second match in a row to start the 2024 NRL season, Mitchell was interviewed and let his feelings be known about the club’s 28-18 loss to the Brisbane Broncos.
‘Look, honestly, f***, it was s***,’ he began.

‘In the first bit, it was just a hard game, f**k, we showed what we’re about.
‘Honestly, they’re big boys, they’re competitors. You wonder why they came runner-up last year, so f**k, we can build on that.
‘I don’t care if I’m swearing, boys, honestly.’
Triple M host Dan Ginnane had to quickly shut down the interview, thanking Mitchell for his time.
‘You can let one or two profanities go but this was too much,’ he said on air.
NRL fans were not impressed, the league privately warned Mitchell about his behaviour and South Sydney introduced a swear jar in a tongue-in-cheek way of dealing with the matter.
