Katie Price is set to restart her acting career after a lengthy hiatus, having landed a part in the comedy spoof Jackie The Stripper.

While the glamour model, 46, is best known for her love life, and a string of reality TV shows, she is set to star in the upcoming comedy, which has already begun filming.

Katie previously had a cameo in the disaster movie Sharknado 5: Earth O in 2017, where she played the love interest of American actor Chris Kattan’s character.

But in this film, she will appear opposite Hollyoaks‘ Jamie Lomas, TOWIE star Chlloe Meadows, Pussycat Doll Kimberly Wyatt and Duchess’ Charlotte Kirk.

According to Deadline, filming is already underway on the British feature, and it will be directed by Michael Head, who fronted The Last Heist in 2016.

The synopsis reads: “Set in London’s Whitechapel district in 1888, Kirk stars as Jackie/Lottie who finds herself plagued by the infamous Jack The Ripper (Lomas) who is head of a secret organisation known only as The Court.

‘Only one man, John Grey (Webster), stands up to the Ripper, vowing to fight against the tryanny, carnage and male oppression that is left in the court’s wake.

‘Cut to modern day, and a group of kick-ass female assassins, led by their leader Jackie, plan a series of hits that will leave The Court dead in their tracks.’

In April, Katie will also be treading the boards in an Easter pantomime production of Pinocchio, opposite former EastEnders star Bobby Davro, and she will share the role of the fairy alongside former Casualty actress Amanda Henderson.

Producers wrote on Instagram: ‘We are delighted to announce that Katie Price and Casualty’s Amanda Henderson will be sharing the role of Fairy across the dates of this year’s Easter Panto tour.

‘They will join the previously announced casting of Bobby Davro as Stromboli plus Easter Panto favourites Ryan Greaves, Kate Salmon and Phyl Harries.’

It is thought that Katie could earn a five figure sum for the appearance, similar to her last stint in pantomime.

The show will open in Northwich at the end of March before continuing on Sevenoaks, Clacton and Northampton.

Across Easter weekend – which kicks off on Friday 18 April – the show will be at the Queen Elizabeth Hall in Oldham.

Towards the end of April, the pantomime will wrap up in Cannock at the Prince of Wales theatre.

The career move for Katie comes amid a string of money woes which has seen her in court over bankruptcy issues.

Last week, she had of her two bankruptcies discharged following a hearing at a specialist court in London.

It came after Katie shared the heartbreaking news that she suffered a miscarriage, after falling pregnant with her boyfriend JJ Slater.

The TV personality unexpectedly fell pregnant with JJ, 31, despite being told she was perimenopausal and that there was just a 1% chance she could conceive naturally.

Katie revealed that she discovered she was pregnant after missing a period on Boxing Day – but tragically learned earlier this month that she had lost the baby.

‘We went to a clinic for blood tests and a scan and the scan showed where the baby was, but that it wasn’t alive any more,’ she said. ‘It’s been devastating.’

She told The Sun: ‘Did I cry or not? I don’t really know, but I was just really sad because we went from joy and relief that I could get pregnant naturally, to confusion, heartbreak and sadness.’

Katie has however vowed she will return to IVF in the hopes of having a sixth child – and won’t stop until she is medically ‘too old’.

Of her fertility, she said: ‘Last year I’d been told I was perimenopausal and that there was only a 1% chance I could get pregnant naturally, so me and JJ didn’t really think I would, we weren’t even trying.

‘But then on Boxing Day I missed a period, and I’m usually so regular every 28 days, and the symptoms started: my boobs were sore, I felt bloated, a little bit moody and started feeling nauseous.’

Despite it being a surprise, Katie said her boyfriend JJ was so excited – however she began to get ‘worried’ when the lines on her pregnancy tests were not getting dark.

Charity Tommy’s – the UK’s leading pregnancy and miscarriage organisation – confirmed to MailOnline that Katie has teamed up with them to raise awareness for grieving mums.

A source told The Sun: ‘Kate and JJ are heartbroken – it’s been an incredibly hard past few weeks, with emotions ranging from utter joy to complete devastation.’

Katie had previously spoken about having had ‘more than three miscarriages’ in the past, plus a ‘near fatal’ ectopic pregnancy.

The model is mother to disabled son Harvey, 22, with former footballer Dwight York, son Junior, 19, daughter Princess with her first husband Peter Andre, and son Jett, 10, and daughter Bunny, nine, with ex-husband Kieran Hayler
