The pair’s plea came after cancer-stricken Mila requested the presenters to speak up in support of the fight against COVID-19, which has claimed 465 lives in the UK.

Addressing the nation, Ant said: ‘Hi everybody Ant and Dec here, not together because we’re at home like everybody should be.’

‘Absolutely, and as we heard Mila wants us to tell everybody to stay at home so we can protect her and thousands and thousands people like her’, Dec added.

Mila’s parents Lynda Sneddon, 36, and Scott Sneddon, 50, decided the best way to keep their little girl safe was by not taking any risks and self-isolating in different houses.

The mother-of-two, who has stayed with the little girl while Scott lives separately, shared a heartbreaking photo of Mila kissing her dad through the window earlier this month.

The image was taken on March 20 and has been liked by over 44,000 people and shared 37k times.

Coronavirus was classed a pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO) earlier this month, leading countries such as Italy, Spain and the UK to implement nationwide lockdowns.

Last week, around 1.4 million vulnerable people in Britain – including those with underlying health conditions – have been told to self-isolate.

Social distancing, advised by the World Health Organisation (WHO), involves maintaining at least 1 metre (3 feet) distance between yourself and anyone who

The measure also includes staying at home if you have a cough or fever even if you have not travelled and ‘cocooning’ elderly people suspected of being more vulnerable to the infection.

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has urged any doctors or nurses who quit or retired in the past three years to return during the crisis.

On Monday night, Boris ordered the immediate closure of all non-essential shops and threatened people with fines or even arrest if they do not ‘stay at home’.

The shutdown will last for a minimum of three weeks and the UK’s new state of emergency is unprecedented in modern history.

Gatherings of more than two people have been banned in the most dramatic curbs on freedom ever seen in Britain in time of peace or war, as the government goes all out to stop the spread of the killer disease.

In January, Selena confirmed she hadn’t dated anyone since splitting from her on/off ex Justin Bieber two years ago.

The album is a reflection of her painful 2018 split from the Yummy hit-maker and his subsequent romance with now wife Hailey Baldwin.

The former Disney star now admits that she was so derailed by his change of heart that she has been single ever since.

‘I need time by myself,’ the cover girl told WSJ Magazine‘s February Talents And Legends Issue.

‘I love going to my room at the end of the day. Just me and my dog.’

The star has been linked to the likes of One Direction’s Niall Horan since then, but clarified she had never been in a relationship.

‘I’ve been single for over two years now,’ she confirmed.

Charli XCX has revealed she’s making a brand new album ‘from scratch’ in lockdown.

The singer, 27, is channeling her anxieties and frustrations about the COVID-19 pandemic into making new music – which she plans to release in just over a month’s time.

The British star announced the news to her fans via a Zoom video conference, before posting a similar explanatory video on her Instgram page on Monday evening.

Charli said: Hi guys, it’s Charli here. Hope you’re doing whatever it is you need to do to stay positive during this time.

‘For me, staying positive goes hand in hand with staying creative, and so that’s why I’ve decided I’m going to use this isolation time to make a brand new album from scratch.’

The pop star admitted the album would have a very ‘DIY’ feel to it because she’s limited to what she has access to in her home during quarantine.

‘The nature of this album is going to be very indicative of the times because I’m only going to be able to use the tools I have at my fingertips to create all music, all artwork, all videos… everything – in that sense, it’ll be very DIY’, she said.

Charli went on to reveal that she wanted her fans – and fellow artists – to be heavily involved in the process, from reaching out with ideas and collaborations, to sitting in on creative meetings.

She explained: ‘I’ll also be reaching out to people online to collaborate with, and I’m going to keep the entire process super open, so that anybody who wants to watch can.

‘I’ll be posting demos, I’ll be posting acapellas, I’ll be posting text conversations with me and any collaborators, I’ll be filming myself in the studio, I’ll be doing Zoom conferences to ask fans or anyone watching for opinions or ideas, I’m going to set up an email address so that fans or anyone can send me beats or references…

‘The whole thing in that sense will be extremely collaborative because anybody who wants to be involved can explore their creativity alongside mine.

Charli then dropped the bombshell that she was aiming for a release date in five and a half weeks’ time.

‘The album is going to come out May 15, which is soonish. I’ve got a couple of ideas, but I’m basically starting from nothing, so hopefully I need the deadline.

‘The album is called How I’m Feeling now, which is a working title, but I kind of like it! I can’t wait to start making this and I can’t wait to share this whole process with you.’

This will be Charli’s fourth studio album and the follow up to her last self-titled release in September 2019.
