Hidden behind a bland garage door in Sydney awaits a hairdressing salon filled with luscious potted plants, dangling vines and greenery throughout.

Located down a narrow alleyway in the inner west suburb of Newtown awaits A Loft Story – a creative space established in 2014 which promises to offer the finest hair stylists in an urban jungle location.

While it might not look much from the outside, inside is bursting with colour and invites guests in with a warm welcome.

Upon entering, you are greeted by the front counter and friendly staff who will guide you through the ‘jungle’ to begin your hair treatment.

The team at the salon specialise in achieving ‘flawless platinum blonde results, colour corrections and dramatic hair transformations’.

There are no dull corners in the salon which keeps wandering eyes entertained throughout the beauty appointment.

‘At A Loft Story we believe in taking your experience to the next level from the precision detail haircut, to the glass of wine and the relationship with your stylist,’ the business writes.

The experience is relaxed and tranquil where everyone is welcomed, including four-legged friends as the salon is dog friendly.

The hairdresser is open until 9pm most days but is closed on Sundays and Mondays, as these days the warehouse is converted into incredible workshops and event spaces.

Some of the events include edible terrarium workshops with Katherine Sabbath and intimate jazz nights with Tim Clarkson’s Jazz Trio.

TikTok user and digital creator Adrian Widjy also gave his 63,000 followers a video tour of the incredible décor inside the building.

‘This has got to be one of the most unique hair salons in Sydney! Look at this place! It’s covered in luscious greeneries! I feel like there is a boost of oxygen just entering this place,’ he said in the video.

‘I literally parked nearby in Newtown and walked past it and asked if I could film because it’s so wonderful!’
