Blake Lively once admitted that there are some things that she does ‘not so well’ and that she is always a ‘student’ in an unearthed blog post on her now-defunct website, Preserve.

The actress, now 37, launched the lifestyle blog in the summer of 2014, but unfortunately shuttered its doors only one year later in 2015.

The unearthed posts are being discovered by some users on TikTok as Lively is currently embroiled in a contentious legal battle against her It Ends With Us costar, Justin Baldoni.

The once-booming website was not only a place where readers could browse about style, food and art, but they could also buy various products.

However, it caught some heat in October 2014, after an editorial was posted about the ‘allure’ of the Antebellum South.

Now, DailyMail.com has decided to take a look at some of the blog’s archives, finding a ‘letter from the editor’ that the Gossip Girl actress had penned herself.

The letter appeared to be published on the site sometime in 2015.

Lively began by explaining that she felt like sitting down to write the note was ‘the hardest thing’ that she had to do yet since she started the blog.

‘I’m more intimidated than I should probably admit,’ the mom-of-four admitted. ‘I’m no editor, no artisan, no expert. And certainly no arbiter of what you should buy, wear, or eat.’

‘I am hungry, though… not just for enchiladas. I’m hungry for experience,’ her message continued.

She then went on to explain that she thinks of herself as a ‘student.’

‘I’m comfortable with the knowledge that I’m not a teacher, but rather, a student,’ Lively wrote.

‘I don’t do any one thing perfectly. I do a lot of things though. Some well, some not-so-well.’

In the ‘letter from the editor,’ the Sisterhood of The Traveling Pants star shared how much she loved traveling, and how there are so many amazing things to be seen in the world.

‘There’s so much life teeming out of every pocket of this nation,’ Lively wrote.

‘There are people creating magic with their bare hands. Creating things which land at that amazing intersection between art and function,’ she continued.

‘I’ve found that when approached with a curious spirit, people are kind, they’re generous, they answer, if asked. They’ll often open their doors and hearts and let you in. Because people with wisdom have stories to tell, and want them heard.’

The letter continued with the actress explaining her goals for the site, what she wants it to look like in the future, and thanking its hard-working team.

She wrote that at Preserve, ‘everyone has a story to tell.’

‘As I wrap up, I have to recognize who Preserve really is now, before we’ve met you,’ she penned.

‘”Preserve” isn’t me. It’s a handful of the most dedicated, soulful, wise, patient people I’ve ever had the honor of working alongside,’ the letter read.

‘People who’ve filled the pages of this site with a force of passion, talent and integrity. I’m grateful for our countless late nights building a home out of pixels, light and imagination.’

The unearthed letter comes as Lively is embroiled in a lawsuit, filing a complaint against Baldoni with the California Civil Rights Department on December 20.

She alleged that Baldoni entered her trailer while she was topless, showed her graphic video of his wife giving birth and bit and sucked on her lips during an improvised kissing scene.

She further accused him of conspiring to smear her reputation, citing a text message from Baldoni’s publicist Melissa Nathan which read: ‘We can bury anyone.’

Baldoni then sued the Times, claiming it failed to vet Lively’s sexual harassment and retaliation allegations and ‘relied almost entirely on Lively’s unverified and self-serving narrative, lifting it nearly verbatim while disregarding an abundance of evidence that contradicted her claims.’

The newspaper plans to ‘vigorously defend against the lawsuit,’ per its spokesman.

He accused her of twisting the meaning of his texts and emails and working in tandem with Leslie Sloane, a powerful Hollywood publicist, to plant damaging stories about him in the media.

Their trial date is currently set for March of 2026.
