David Tennant has revealed he was born with a rare disorder.

The Doctor Who star, 53, confirmed he has six toes on his right foot after fans on Reddit reportedly noticed the deformity.

In a recent interview with Metro, David admitted his extra toe looks ‘sort of like a nubbin’ as he spoke of the condition for the first time.

David was asked if people knew about the disorder, to which he responded: ‘Well, they do now.’

‘It’s sort of like a nubbin’, David joked.

Ahead of hosting the BAFTA awards for the second-time running, David spoke of his nerves.

He said: ‘It’s a lovely thing to be asked to do and it’s a huge privilege, and it’s very giddy-making. But I’ve sort of got a bit of a free pass, because nobody expects me to be any good at it.’

‘It was a slightly mad thing to be asked to do, not something I ever aspired to or imagined would come my way.

‘When you’re standing on that stage looking out at all the most famous people in the world, you just think “How did I end up doing this?”‘

David’s wife Georgia, 40, celebrated their 13th wedding anniversary in December by sharing a sweet Instagram selfie with her followers. 

They married in 2011 and are now proud parents to five children. 

In the sweet black-and-white snap, the Scottish actor flashed a glimpse of a smile towards the camera as he proceeded to take a selfie of them from below. 

Meanwhile, Georgia could be seen beaming for the camera as she sweetly leaned her head on David. 

Alongside the adorable snap, Georgia cheekily poked fun at her husband saying: ’13 years of trying to get him to understand we both look better when he doesn’t take a selfie from below. #marriage.’

Fans and friends of the couple then flocked to the comment section to wish them both a happy anniversary.

The couple met in 2008, when Georgia starred in the BBC hit series Doctor Who, as she took on the role of David’s character’s genetically engineered daughter Jenny, and they married three years later.

David adopted Georgia’s son, Ty, 21, from a previous relationship, and they went on to have three daughters, Olive, 12, Doris, eight, and Birdie, four, and a son, Wilfred, 10.
