Adam Peaty and his girlfriend Eirianedd Munro stepped out together for the first time since his Strictly Come Dancing elimination as they attended the BBC Sports Personality of the Year Awards in Manchester on Sunday night.

The Olympic swimmer, 26, and Eirianedd, 23, with whom he raises son George-Anderson Adetola, 14 months, looked glamorous as they walked the red carpet at the Media City event.

Sportsman Adam wore a beige three piece tuxedo with black lapels on the jacket to match his bow tie as he stood alongside Eirianedd who dazzled in a bejewelled black dress with cut-out detail and a thigh-high split.

Adam wore a white shirt beneath his waistcoat and completed his look with a pair of perfectly polished black leather shoes.

Eirianedd showcased her sensational figure in her slinky gown, showing off her slender legs as she stood on the red carpet with the train of her dress on the ground behind her.

The garment featured a plunging neckline while she gave onlookers a glimpse at her skin through the cut-put panels at the side.

Her naked arms and shoulders were left exposed to the air and she wore lashings of make-up to highlight her pretty facial features.

Eirianedd wore a pair of silver pendulum earrings and added a few inches to her stature by opting for a pair of black heels.

Hunky Adam competed on this year’s Strictly Come Dancing with his professional dance partner Katya Jones, 32.

The pair were given the boot from the competition on November 7 after going up against social media star Tilly Ramsay, 20, and her partner Nikita Kuzmin, 23, in the dance off.

Adam hit the headlines during this year’s series after he appeared to almost kiss Katya as part of their routine.

However, while Eirianedd was reportedly ‘really emotional’ and ‘humiliated’ after the performance, she has since insisted she can’t wait to have Katya over for dinner.

She recently wrote for the MailOnline: ‘People are suggesting online that I’m happy they’re no longer spending time together — but in fact I can’t wait to invite Katya over for dinner.

‘I’m upset and angry on Katya’s behalf and I want her and Adam to remain friends and for her to be in our lives for a long time.

‘Sophie Ellis-Bextor says her husband had counselling during her stint on Strictly in 2013 — they were uncomfortable with all the talk of her and dancer Brendan Cole being a ‘couple’ — and I totally sympathise with them.

‘The most difficult part of this has been nothing to do with Adam and Katya’s friendship, but the pressures that come from all the rumours and things people write on social media.

‘It has been more challenging than either of us could have predicted.’

Meanwhile, Rose Ayling-Ellis, 27, and Giovanni Pernice, 31, lifted the glitterball as she was crowned winner of Strictly after competing against John Whaite, 32, and Johannes Radebe, 34, in the most diverse final in the show’s 17-year history.

For the first time, just two finalists went head-to-head on Saturday night after AJ Odudu was forced to pull out of the competition a day prior due to an ankle injury that left the heartbroken presenter, 33, in crutches.

The nail-biting end to the 2021 series was down to the viewers’ vote after both Rose and John, who formed the first ever male sex partnership with Johannes, tied on the leaderboard with the judges praising both for the ‘groundbreaking’ roles they played in the competition.

As her name was unveiled as the winner of Strictly 2021, Rose said to Giovanni: ‘I just want to say you are so amazing. You pushed me to believe in myself more than I believe in myself. You are an incredible teacher, but not just that you are a wonderful friend.

‘We’ve gone through a lot, and I just want you to know no matter what happens, no matter how busy we get, I want to you to know you’ve always got a piece of my heart. You really do.’

A teary-eyed Giovanni also revelled in their success on the BBC show as he scored his first win since he joined Strictly seven years ago, while Rose’s boyfriend Samuel Arnold watched proudly from the audience.

He said to Rose: ‘I have to say thank you to this beautiful young lady that made all my dreams come true. It took me seven years to get that thing.

‘You became the best, best dancer, the best teammate I could ask for. You are a dream, Rose, you really are a dream. So, thank you for everything.’
