‘You have to work out what makes you move on’: Louise Redknapp offers advice on ‘transforming your life’ after a ‘hard few years’… following her divorce from ex Jamie

Louise Redknapp offered her advice on ‘transforming your life in 2022’ on Wednesday morning’s episode of Lorraine.

Dwelling on how ‘the last few years have been so hard for everybody’, the singer, 47, who split from her husband Jamie in 2017, explained how she, along with style expert and life coach Paul Wharton, will be working out what ‘people really need.’

Speaking on the show, she said: ‘We are really gonna try and focus on 2022 being the most positive year yet!’

When Lorraine touched on how the former Eternal singer has ‘gone through a lot’ in her life, an optimistic Louise replied: ‘You have to learn. You have to work out what makes you move onto the next step.’

Lorraine’s reference was undoubtedly a nod to her split from Jamie, to whom she was married for 19 years before their divorce.

Of how her and Paul are aiming to help others get their mojo back, Louise explained: ‘For us, it’s making sure we spend time with people, you know, that haven’t been out of the house, haven’t had a job interview for years.

‘They’ve lost their confidence of walking into a room and knowing that they’re capable and they’re okay.

The hitmaker has been working on the follow-up to her 2020 LP Heavy Love – which was her fourth record and her first collection in two decades – and she insisted the new material is meant to be ‘really empowering’.

She told the Daily Star: ‘At the moment my phone is full of lyrics. The last two or three months, I’ve got a lot of lyrics down.

‘Right now everything I write I want it to be positive and want it to be really empowering, like a moving-forward album.

‘If someone was to look at my notes they would probably worry about me, for the things I’ve written down on there.’

Louise – who sang about relationship and personal issues on her last record – wants her upcoming album to be different, and she is ‘going in strong’ with the first single.
