‘I want to marry her, I want to have her children’: Stormzy says he loves Maya Jama ‘wholeheartedly’

Stormzy has declared that he still loves Maya Jama ‘wholeheartedly’ and wants to marry and have children with his ex-girlfriend in the future.

The rapper, 26, and the TV and radio presenter, 25, split in August 2019 after four years together, but he admitted he has ‘never loved anyone how I’ve loved her’ in a new YouTube interview with Charlamagne tha God.

‘She’s a f***ing G, bro,’ the grime star said of his ex. ‘I love her wholeheartedly. I’ve never loved anyone how I’ve loved her.’

The radio host asked if he thought the pair could ever reconcile, to which he responded: ‘I would love for that to happen but I don’t know…

‘I would love to be the man who she needs, I would love to do all the things that make this work. I want to marry her, I want to have her children.’

‘I was pacing around my kitchen, I was pacing up and down for days thinking… f**** sake bruv… this one reckless night. You… all of those things brother; marriage, kids, the love of my life.

‘You have put all of those things at [risk], and now look you probably won’t ever… you’ve lost that. You know what I mean? You’ve lost that.’

Stormzy and Maya started dating in January 2015 after meeting the previous year.

The former couple split last summer, claiming they had parted ways to focus on their respective careers, with Maya moving out of the home they shared in south-west London.

On his album track Lessons, Stormzy said the way he treated Maya was his ‘biggest of regrets’ and admitted he poured the greatest love he ever knew down the drain when they split.

Speaking on the BBC Radio 1Xtra Breakfast Show about the emotional break-up track, he said: ‘That’s something we shared and it’s on a public forum, everything happened so publicly.

‘It was a hot topic and I’m going on record now and I’m apologising. I’m trying to lay it all bare and be very truthful and be very clear in my truth. I’m not trying to shy away from it.

‘It was a public disrespect. It was a public disrespect that needed a public apology.’

He continued: ‘That girl gave me the world. I will wholeheartedly say that’s a phenomenal woman that loved man wholeheartedly and was man’s everything.

‘And I disrespected and was inconsiderate – a big disrespect. The least I can do is come out and say, come on.

‘I will say it 100 per cent loud and clear that’s a brilliant woman – we shared something very deep and she loved me wholeheartedly. And man went out and disrespected.’

In Lessons, which features on Stormzy’s new album, Heavy Is the Head, he referenced ‘doing the dirt’ and ‘making ‘coward moves.’

This week, the musician continued to dismiss suggestions that he had cheated, saying: ‘It wasn’t cheating, I didn’t cheat but it didn’t need to be cheating to be disrespectful.’

Last month, the pair were said to be ‘texting again’ just hours after Stormzy issued an apology in his emotional track.

A source told The Sun at the time: ‘He knew that he would bring their relationship centre stage again by releasing a track about it, and he felt it was right to reach out.

‘Now they are getting on well again, and their close friends are hoping they might give their relationship another chance.

‘It is crystal clear how much Stormzy regrets how he treated Maya and he knows he doesn’t deserve a second chance.’

Ryan Gallagher’s dire warning for the new Married At First Sight cast

Ryan Gallagher believes that it’s only a matter of time before a participant on Married At First Sight ‘harms themselves’.

The 31-year-old, who appeared on season five in 2018, told Hit105’s Stav, Abby and Matt on Wednesday that he fears a bride or groom ‘may go to far’ if they are upset.

‘Eventually, maybe something will happen and someone will obviously go too far and be upset that much they might even harm themselves,’ he said.

‘It’s happened in other countries and I hope it doesn’t happen here,’ he added, seemingly referring to the suicides of British reality stars Mike Thalassitis and Sophie Gradon.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Channel Nine for comment.

Ryan, who was eliminated from I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! Australia on Tuesday, went on to discuss his experience in the South African jungle.

‘I’ve been asked to do other reality love shows since MAFS and I’m just not interested [because] I don’t believe in them to be honest,’ he said.

‘With Celebrity, it’s not that, they aren’t trying to push that on people. It’s a family show that shows people for who they are.’

Ryan rose to fame on MAFS’ fifth season in 2018, which is widely considered the year in which the social experiment took a darker turn.

He was infamously cheated on by his ‘wife’ Davina Rankin, and was forced to stay in their ‘marriage’ for weeks after discovering her betrayal.

He discussed Davina’s affair on I’m a Celebrity, telling his campmates she had warned him on their honeymoon that she was going to be unfaithful.

‘We were on the honeymoon, and we were intimate and stuff like that. You sort of get lost in the moment,’ he began.

‘And as we were flying back, as we were landing, [Davina] goes, “You know, when we get back we meet other people and you can hook up with anyone.”

And I was like, “I don’t think that…!”‘

Ryan went on to explain that Davina eventually left him for another groom, Dean Wells, before the affair was exposed at a commitment ceremony.

She starred in Big Little Lies and The Morning Show, two of the biggest dramas of 2019.

But actress-turned-producer Reese Witherspoon was all business on Tuesday as she headed into meetings in Los Angeles.

The 43-year-old looked chic in a pairing of business with easy casual style.

The Legally Blonde star paired a grey and black blazer over a white button up blouse.

She went for a simple side, pairing it with medium wash jeans, and shiny black leather loafers.

Matching her shoes and black leather handbag that she carried, she also wore a black YSL belt.

Reese was headed into a meeting and continued the black theme as she donned large black sunglasses.

Her signature blonde hair was down in a sleek straight style.

Witherspoon stars alongside Aniston and Billy Crudup in the Apple TV+ show, on which she also serves as executive producer.

Earlier in the day, she and Aniston discussed the second season of their show at a TCA panel in Pasadena, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

‘We have a lot explore. It’s not just #MeToo. We explore racism, sexism, homophobia — all the things currently happening in news media,’ she said.

‘We’re just beginning because there’s a whole new world order. It’s chaos. No one knows who is in charge. What does leadership mean at this point? And I think that’s what we’re exploring in this culture as we speak.’

She is also set to star in Hulu’s Little Fires Everywhere, opposite Kerry Washington, airing in March.

NTAs 2020:  Holly Willoughby leads the celebrity exits

After a long evening at the National Television Awards, stars were spotted making their way to various after-parties around London.

Holly Willoughby, 38, was among the first to make a quick exit from London’s 02 Arena where the awards were held on Tuesday night.

She was spotted bundling her large pink princess tulle skirt into a taxi as she made her way to a private NTAs after party.

The This Morning presenter lost out to best pals Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly for the Best TV presenter Award but stole the show in the strapless dress, which had a tailored pink pleated bodice and voluminous tulle skirt.

Leaving gracefully, the presenter held on to her clutch bag and avoided the revolving doors in an effort not to get her large dress stuck.

She appeared to be bright-eyed and in high spirits as she was photographed leaving the O2 arena with an entourage.

With Holly and co-presenter Phil notorious for their post NTA antics the pair were no doubt continuing the night in celebration after This Morning scooped top prize in the Live Magazine Show category for the tenth year.

Other celebs making a quick exit included I’m A Celebrity winner Jacqueline Jossa who was seen hiking up the bodice of her dress as she got a taxi home.

The star had plenty to celebrate after I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here bagged the Bruce Forsyth Entertainment Award over The Graham Norton Show, The Chase and RuPaul’s Drag Race UK.

The first award of the night saw host David Walliams welcome Caitlyn Jenner to the stage to present the award for Best Challenge Show.

‘At least I’m not in the jungle and don’t have to eat a cow’s eyeball!’ exclaimed Caitlyn, referring to her stint on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! last year.

She eventually awarded the gong to The Great British Bake Off, accepted by Paul Hollywood, who noted that it meant a lot being the show’s 10th year.

Next up was the award for Factual, which saw a record-breaking documentary by Jesy Nelson – Jesy Nelson: Odd One Out – scoop the prize.

A tearful Jesy accepted the gong. She took the stage and said: ‘This is so overwhelming, I’m such a baby [for crying]. I want to thank every single person in the documentary for being so brave and courageous for telling their story.

‘I want to thank my mum for being the most inspirational woman in the world. I want to thank Chris, my boyfriend, for bringing me up every day.

‘I want to thank everyone who voted. Such a negative experience in my life turned into a positive one and that’s all thanks to you guys.’

Peaky Blinders scooped the Best Drama award – and Best Dramatic Performance award for star Cillian Murphy – while Mrs Brown’s Boys took the gong for Comedy.

Coronation Street star Katie McGlynn took home the Serial Drama gong, delivering a stirring speech, dedicating it to her late grandfather.

The Impact Award was bestowed upon sitcom Gavin & Stacey, which returned this Christmas for a one-off special, attracting 18million viewers.

The award was presented by Olly Murs, with actress and writer Ruth Jones quipping ‘What’s a-murrin’?’ – a nod to her character Nessa’s catchphrase.

She gushed about James Corden, her co-scribe of the sitcom, who ‘wished he could be there’ but was in Los Angeles, where he hosts The Late Late Show.

There were further jokes about Ant & Dec, who took the mic from David at one point, insisting that they were actually the hosts of the evening.

‘You can’t host EVERYTHING on ITV!’ David insisted, pleading: ‘Let me have tonight!’

Sky won its first NTA for its critically acclaimed Sky original, Chernobyl in the Best New Drama category.

The prestigious award was collected by Adi Roche, founder of Chernobyl Children International and Chris Fry, Executive Producer, Sister Pictures, who accepted it from Friends star David Schwimmer, after he enjoyed a snide back-and-forth with Walliams over which of them was the ‘funniest David on TV’.

TV stalwarts Richard and Judy were tasked with presenting the Live Magazine Show Award, which went to the show they made famous, This Morning.

Not before there was a throwback clip shown of the infamous moment Judy’s breast popped out of her dress at the 2000 NTAs.

In a nod to this, David joked ‘thank God there wasn’t a wardrobe malfunction!’ before his trousers fell down around his ankles.

This coincided perfectly with the next award, Best TV Judge, which David ended up winning.

Davina McCall presented this award, while David sat on Ant & Dec’s laps in the audience, in his pants, waiting to hear who the winner was.

The This Morning win, however, came with a tinge of behind-the-scenes scandal, as presenters Holly and Phil accepted the gong next to Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes, who are said to be in the midst of a major feud with Phil.

The moment was peppered with sideways glances from Ruth, forced grins and an awkward moment in which Phil told her ‘your show on Fridays are great… you should say something too’ – at which Ruth gave a strained acceptance speech too.

Sir Michael Palin was awarded the Special Recognition Award, which he accepted with tales of the late Terry Jones who was one of Michael’s Monty Python comedy team and who sadly died last week.

‘Terry wanted to say things how they’d never been done before, and do things that had never been done before!’ Michael said, as he dedicated his award to his ‘dear friend of 60 years’.

Ant & Dec scooped the prize for Best Presenters – yet again – as well as the Bruce Forsyth Entertainment Award for I’m A Celeb – which they dedicated to those who have battled the bush fires in Australia.

They were joined on stage by the jungle class of 2019, with reigning Queen Of The Jungle Jacqueline Jossa dubbing the duo ‘the nicest guys in television’.
