In the video, Rio sat in the laundry room on his phone with their pet dog on his lap, to which Kate quipped: ‘Catching up with your mates there, babe. Nice to know you’re helping with all this.’

To which the former footballer protested: ‘Don’t even try it, tell them the truth with what I’ve been doing today.’

With Kate responding with: ‘Nothing, you’ve been sitting here with the dog like this,’ to which Rio joked: ‘I’ll leave you, right!’

It comes after Kate shared a touching tribute to ‘the ladies that are here and those that are watching us from heaven’ in celebration of Mother’s Day on Sunday.

Taking to Instagram, the TV star posed for a sweet image with her mother Jacqueline while remembering the late parent of her stepchildren Lorenz, 13, Tate, 11, and Tia, eight.

In a heartwarming message to doting mums – including Rio’s former wife Rebecca Ellison – the former TOWIE star penned: ‘Here’s to the mums, and the ladies in our lives who aren’t mums but treat us as if they are.’

The media personality – who left reality TV to focus on her role as a stepmum – said she’s ‘thinking of all mothers’ as she marked the celebration five years after Rebecca passed away from breast cancer.

Brave Kate wrote: ‘Happy Mother’s Day everyone. A special day to appreciate everyone who gives us the love, care and attention we need…

‘To the ladies that are here and those that are watching over us from heaven. Love has no limits, love is not bound by blood.

‘Love is love, and it is so powerful. I hope all of u feel special and appreciated today. And for those without Mums here I hope you can find the strength to celebrate the good times. I am thinking of you all today.’ [sic]

The Essex beauty embarked on a relationship with former sportsman Rio, 41, in 2017, with the pair tying the knot last year.

As Kate adjusted to becoming a step mum, she admitted posting her life with the children on social media gave her crippling anxiety.

The couple recently gave their fans a look into their lives in their BBC documentary, Rio And Kate: Becoming A Stepfamily.

In an exclusive chat with MailOnline earlier this month, Kate said: ‘I always struggle to share my life with the children and that did give me anxiety.’

Selfless: The Essex beauty left reality TV to focus on her role as a stepmum to the 41-year-old's three children (pictured earlier this month)

She faced a wave of backlash from trolls who labelled her a ‘gold digger’ when her relationship with Rio first came to light.

And in the pair’s film, the blonde said getting to know the children and Rio as a unit was a ‘hard couple of years’ as she was met with hostility from extended family members.

Two years on, Kate says she is more relaxed about being ‘honest’ about the highs and lows of parenting.

Kate said: ‘I’m just being more open and honest with everything. I’ve found a happy-medium.

‘We compare ourselves to everyone’s best bits and we don’t always know what’s going on.

‘So I’ve made a conscious effort to try and be more open and honest and share not always the great bits of my life and that makes me feel better aswell because you haven’t got as much pressure to live up to what everything thinks is happening.’

Lizzie McGuire reboot writers have video chat after Hilary Duff slammed Disney

Last month Hilary Duff slammed the Disney+ network after her Lizzie McGuire reboot was put on hold last month as she fought back against a PG rating.

And perhaps the star’s pleas have been taken into consideration as the show’s writers had a Zoom video call after production had been put on hold due to creative differences.

Perhaps the most surprising face among the crowd on the video conference call was series creator and showrunner, Terri Minsky, who had stepped down from her role.

It definitely seems to be a positive sign for fans of the show as Duff recently revealed that she is still in talks with the team behind the show.

The 32-year-old actress told People on Monday: ‘There’s still conversations going on in hopes that we can find a way to meet in the middle and both bend a little bit.

‘I understand that they have to protect their brand and there’s pretty strict guidelines on what that looks like.’

There are things, however, that Duff expects if they move on with the project as she wants to make sure the shows older fans can continue to identify with the character.

She explained: ‘I just have to make sure it’s the right move for me and that I feel like I’m honoring her and the character, and that it will be relatable to the people who grew up with her because those are the people I really want to speak to.’

Perhaps one of those storylines was a leaked script which revealed that ‘sex with cheating’ was a main one in the show’s revival, according to The Hollywood Reporter last month.

Duff spoke out against the streaming service for ‘limiting the realities of a 30 year old’s journey’ before pleading with the network to let Lizzie move to Hulu, similar to measures made for the show Love, Simon.

The publication reported that, upon reading a script, the show focused on ‘the existence of sex with cheating as a central plot point.’

Production halted on the reboot last month after the series creator and showrunner, Terri Minsky, stepped down from her role, according to Variety

At the end of February, Hilary took to Instagram with a passionate plea for Disney to move the show to Hulu so that viewers could see how her character evolved from a teenager to a young adult living in the city.

‘Was incredibly excited to launch ‘Lizzie’ on D+ and my passion remains!’ she wrote. ‘However, I feel a huge responsibility to honor the fans’ relationship with LIZZIE who, like me, grew up seeing themselves in her.

‘I’d be doing a disservice to everyone by limiting the realities of a 30 year old’s journey to live under the ceiling of a PG rating,’ she continued. ‘It’s important to me that just as her experience as a preteen / teenager navigating her life were authentic, her next chapters are equally as real and relatable.’

‘It would be a dream if Disney would let us move the show to Hulu, if they were interested, and I could bring this beloved character to life again,’ she added.

The comedian, 46, will join a star-studded line-up for BBC One’s The Big Night In, set to air on April 23, marking his return to television after his last appearance on Car Share in May 2018.

Lenny Henry announced the exciting news – a joint venture between Children In Need and Comic Relief – on Tuesday’s episode of The One Show.

Speaking on The One Show, Lenny, 61, said: ‘Peter Kay will be involved, there will be musical guests, it will just be a really fun night to cheer people up during the crisis.

‘And of course if people want to donate, give a bit of money to help, they can, to help any of the small charities across the country, who help people of any age who need it.

‘Even if you can’t donate, just watch it will cheer you up.’

Viewers will be able to donate if they are able to do so, with funds split between Children In Need and Comic Relief to support vulnerable people during the pandemic.

A source told Mirror Online: ‘We are delighted to get Peter involved as we know how many millions of fans he has.

‘I would like to thank both BBC Children in Need and Comic Relief for joining forces in these unprecedented times to provide their support to local charities, projects and programmes across the whole UK; and to all of the stars taking part in this unmissable night of entertainment when the country needs it most.’

‘It’s brilliant to see BBC Children in Need and Comic Relief coming together for the first time to ensure help gets to those that need it most, and to celebrate those who are going above and beyond in their communities.

‘We’re working with the BBC and others to ensure this event is a huge success. As government develops further measures, we will work together to coordinate our efforts in the battle against coronavirus and remind everyone to stay at home, protect the NHS and save lives.’

The announcement comes three weeks after Peter has cancelled his Dance For Life tour due to the Covid-19 outbreak.

The comedian broke the news in a statement, less than a month after confirming he would be returning to the stage with his epic dance-a-thon to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

Peter’s Dance For Life Tour would have been his long-awaited return to the spotlight after cancelling all of his work commitments in 2017 due to ‘unforeseen family circumstances.’

He said: ‘Obviously this is disappointing news but well and truly justified given the circumstances. We’ll get through this, together and then we’ll all have a great big dance for life. Stay safe and look after yourselves and the people around you.’

A further statement from Peter said: ‘Due to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak and following Government advice, it is with deep regret that the forthcoming Peter Kay’s Dance For Life shows are being postponed.

‘We are looking to schedule the shows so please hold onto your tickets as they will be valid for the new dates.

‘We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause but the safety of the public is paramount.’

The three screenings were to raise money for The Lily Foundation, supporting children with mitochondrial disease, that the Phoenix Nights star had ‘first-hand experience of’.

While he was first spotted Peter was photographed for the first time in eight months on December 27 when he made an appearance at the Crewe Lyceum Theatre to watch X Factor star Chico and iconic duo Canon and Ball in a production of Peter Pan.

TV personality Chico posted a picture of the four men together on his fitness page with the caption: ‘When Peter Kay pops in to see us #panto with the legends that are Cannon and Ball life is complete.’

On December 29 he was seen looking in high spirits as he smiled for a photograph at the final performance of Nativity! The Musical in London.

Kay posed for the snap alongside the show’s director Debbit Isitt, who later posted the photo on her Twitter page alongside a caption about the star.

She penned: ‘So lovely to see the brilliant comic genius Peter Kay and his lovely family tonight for our final show! What a lovely surprise for us all!’

This came hours after Peter broke his social media silence to slam Channel 5 for using an ‘incredibly misleading title’ for a documentary on his life and career.

‘Peter Kay: In His Own Words’ aired on the channel, but doesn’t feature any new interviews with the comedy legend.

A strongly-worded statement posted on the funnyman’s official Twitter account hours before the programme aired stated that Peter wasn’t involved with the two-hour documentary in any way.

Earlier this year, the star confirmed that he’s laid out plans for a movie version of Phoenix Nights – while speaking in pre-recorded footage shown at a charity screening of the series, The Sun reports.

He said: ‘People always ask, ‘Will there be more Phoenix Nights?’ and I can now confirm there won’t — but I am thinking of a film.’

In her post, Elizabeth admitted that after days of going makeup free in her home she decided to get dressed up in her best lingerie for her latest post.

The star explained that she’d been self-isolating with her son Damian, 17, her mum Angela, 79, and her elderly aunt, as well as a close friend who was considered high risk.

As Elizabeth urged her followers to self-isolate to try and prevent the spread of the virus, she said she felt ‘incredibly lucky’ to be in her country home during this time of social distancing.

She penned: ‘Day 11 of my family’s lockdown in Herefordshire and I finally washed my hair, put on some make up and found time to post.

‘In these scary times I feel incredibly lucky to live in the countryside and have lots of outside space.

‘As well as my son, I have seven other people living with me including my 79 year old mother and her sister- also in her late 70’s- and one of my best friends who is in the highest risk group with severe respiratory problems.

‘Keeping everyone as safe as possible (and fed) is a full time job. We all are full of the highest admiration for our wonderful NHS staff and are doing everything we can to not add to their burden.

‘Thank God it’s Sat night and we can r-e-l-a-x and take a break from being glued to the news #stayhome #staysafe #nhsheroes.’
