Channel Seven star Larry Emdur has weighed in on the current scandal enveloping the network, shortly before appearing at Sunday’s Logie Awards.

ABC’s Four Corners this week exposed allegations of sexism, mysoginy and bullying, which the program claimed were ‘rife’ at the network.

Speaking to The Daily Telegraph, Larry, 59, said that while there is always room for improvement, he was still ‘proud’ to work at Seven.

‘I know there’s a focus on a small minority of people doing the wrong thing,’ he said.

‘Obviously, we need to do better in some areas, and importantly the network is taking steps to address it,’ added the veteran TV star.

‘After all these years, I’m still incredibly proud to work at Seven among so many talented production people and journalists who are really passionate about what they do.’

Adding that conversations about workplace culture were necessary in all industries, Larry said that at the heart of it all was the need for people to be ‘decent human beings.’

‘People need to feel safe and well and happy at work,’ he said.

Wife Sylvie meanwhile matched her TV star husband in an all-black ensemble, wearing a dark dress with a split to the thigh that showed off her svelte pins and strappy black heels.

The dress also featured a lacy black bodice and sheer lace embellishments at the décolletage and sleeves.

Wearing her hair tied back in a bun for the glittering occasion, Sylvie accessorised with a pair of black circular earrings, while choosing to leave her neck sans bling for her big arrival.

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia, Larry spoke about his unorthodox campaign to nab the Gold Logie this year.

‘We’ve had so much fun and that’s been part of it. When Seven told me about the nomination, I said we’re not doing the “vote for me” rubbishy thing. We’re only doing it if we take the p**s and have fun.’
