Lisa Kudrow revealed she recently discovered a note from her late Friends castmate Matthew Perry, which he had stuffed inside the ‘Cookie Time’ jar from the Burbank set of the hit NBC sitcom.
‘Matthew gave that to me at the end of our last episode,’ the 61-year-old Emmy winner recalled on Tuesday’s Drew Barrymore Show.
‘I had recently found the note that he had in it for me. I hadn’t opened it up or looked inside of it. But yeah, he did. He had a note in there and I forgot about it.’
Without revealing what Perry wrote, Lisa emotionally remarked: ‘Timing is everything.’
Kudrow had previously told Jimmy Kimmel Live! in 2020 that the five-time Emmy nominee gifted her the prop when they wrapped, because he found it hilarious that she thought it was a working clock while shooting a scene.
‘I think the first thing I asked was, “This was so nice – did you get permission?”‘ the No Good Deed star said.

‘I mean, my car used to get searched every night when I left.’
Lisa also held on to her security badges and her character Phoebe Buffay’s rings after Friends concluded in 2004 after 10 seasons.
Matthew passed away, age 54, in 2023 from acute effects of the anesthetic ketamine and five people have since been indicted and charged as part of the LAPD’s ensuing investigation.
A couple weeks later, Kudrow posted a Polaroid of them attending the 1994 NBC Upfronts and thanked him for trusting her, teaching her about grace and love, and making her laugh to the point of tears ‘every day.’
The San Fernando Valley Girl previously revealed last month on the Dinner’s on Me podcast that the Friends cast only reunited twice since their show ended – for an intimate dinner in 2014 at someone’s house and HBO Max’s 2021 Friends: The Reunion special.
The 49-year-old talk show host begged Lisa for an update on the follow-up to her 1997 cult classic comedy, Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion, co-starring Mira Sorvino.
‘[Mira] said it perfectly. We’re as close as we have ever been. There’s a script that’s really good. [Original screenwriter] Robin Schiff wrote it,’ Kudrow beamed.
‘So it’ll happen! I mean, we’ll see. Because having a close friend it’s about you know friends that love each other – which is funny because I was on a show that was like that too – but but that is basically what it is.’
The 57-year-old Oscar winner told People last November that they both signed their deals to executive produce and reprise their roles as Romy White and Michele Weinberger in the sequel, which is rumored to start shooting in the ‘second quarter’ of this year.

On the personal front, Lisa and her husband – French advertising executive Michael Stern – are proud parents of 26-year-old son Julian and they’ll impressively celebrate 30 years of marriage on May 27.
‘You know, it’s not a romance. It’s even more than a family member. I mean, it’s the most intimate relationship you can have,’ Kudrow told Barrymore.
‘It’s different from kids but, by 30 years, I’m not going anywhere, no way. That’s how I feel about it.’
