Lorraine Kelly is the cover star of Attitude magazine’s Activists and Allies issue.

And to commemorate the honour, the chat show queen has transformed into a drag queen – dubbing herself Morning Gloria.

Posing in a Queen Elizabeth I-inspired ensemble, the 60-year-old TV icon bites her gloved finger in the cover shot as she poses in a shoulderless red gown with massive puffy sleeves and a flame-red wig.

The TV personality looks sensational, dripping in royal pearls and adding a tartan sash slung across her torso, pinned with showy brooches.

She adds a matching crown to the look and sports a blanched white complexion with dark lashes, bright red lips and jewels dotted around her eyes for added flair.

The look was created by Drag SOS stars Cheddar Gorgeous, Liquorice Black, Anna Phylactic, Lill and TeTe Bang.

The January issue sees Lorraine close off a deserved run of celebrations commemorating her 60th birthday and 35 years in television.

Inside, Lorraine speaks to Attitude about her enduring support of the gay community, trans rights and the power of drag, and takes part in the latest hilarious instalment of the Attitude LGBTQ Slang Challenge.

‘It’s like you’re a supercharged version of yourself… you’re still you but you can sort of be someone else, which is great,’ she said of dragging herself up. ‘There is a little show-off inside that I keep damping down, and today that show-off is allowed to come out and that’s empowering.

‘It’s like the really naughty rebel, which I was in my teenage years, came out to play. And I never thought with the size of my bottom that I’d need padding but it was amazing how it really accentuated my figure!’

Speaking about the changes she has seen in society during her career, Lorraine said: ‘When I started, you weren’t allowed to say the word cancer. How mad is that? And we did talk about things like HIV, when it was being really misunderstood.

‘I think we’re going backwards and it really worries me. What’s going on with trans people now is kind of what the gay community went through years ago, so one would like to hope that it will get better.

‘I think it will, I’m the eternal optimist, but in the meantime, we’ve got people having a shit time and it’s not fair. It’s really not fair, just because they want to be the person that they’re supposed to be. Don’t we all deserve that?’

On calling out injustice, she went on: ‘We’re all entitled to our points of view when it comes to politics but if something’s actually wrong, it doesn’t matter whether you’re really left, right or in the middle, I don’t care what party you’re in.

It’s like the way the Labour Party is tackling the whole thing about anti-semitism, it’s wrong. And you’ve got people like Esther McVey and Ann Widdecombe with their stance on the whole LGBTQ community, which is wrong.

And Cardi B has now revealed why she chose to give her marriage another go and how her decision saw her receive much hate.

The 27-year-old explained to Vogue‘s January 2020 issue that she not only prayed but had priests come over to their home to help learn how to forgive.

‘When me and my husband got into our issues—you know, he cheated and everything—and I decided to stay with him and work together with him, a lot of people were so mad at me; a lot of women felt disappointed in me,’ she began.

‘But it’s real-life s**t. If you love somebody and you stop being with them, and you’re depressed and social media is telling you not to talk to that person because he cheated, you’re not really happy on the inside until you have the conversation.’

She further explained that she had a hard time with her decision to rekindle their relationship as many of her social media followers felt ‘let down.’

People weren't happy: 'When me and my husband got into our issues—you know, he cheated and everything—and I decided to stay with him and work together with him, a lot of people were so mad at me; a lot of women felt disappointed in me,' she began (pictured with Offset at the 2018 AMAs)

She continued: ‘My thing is, everybody on social media acts like relationships is perfect, and that’s crazy to me.’

‘Everybody has issues. I believe in forgiveness. I prayed on it. Me and my husband, we prayed on it. We had priests come to us. And we just came to an understanding like, bro, it’s really us against the world.’

Cardi couldn’t help but gush over her husband and his loyalty following his stray from their monogamous marriage.

‘He has my back for everything, I have his back for everything, so when you cheat, you’re betraying the person that has your back the most. Why would you do that? We have come to a clear understanding.’

Billie Piper took to Instagram to make a political statement against the Conservative party on Monday.

The former Doctor Who star, 37, donned a Tesco-themed t-shirt with the word Tories in large red letters and the strap line ‘very little help’ scrawled underneath, a play on Tesco’s motto ‘every little helps’.

Alongside the snap, in which a grinning Billie clutches the top made by artist Hayden Kays, the actress went on an impassioned rant about Prime Minister Boris Johnson ahead of election day on Thursday, and earned over 27,000 likes.

The mother of two wrote: ‘Cannot get behind a man who shames single mums and their children, uses casual racism, gambles with the NHS and gives zero f**** about our children’s future.

‘Stop f****** with the kids !!!!!! To all the young ones who went out in their droves and registered to vote, it was bloody moving.

Billie also shared the image on her Instagram Stories alongside the message: ‘To all the young ones, learn how to vote tactically & rid us of this looming horror show.’

‘I started writing it at 30, which is when I feel like I had a rude awakening,’ Billie said of Rare Beasts. ‘All I could see around me was common casualties, certainly in women. I too was finding it… I was floundering.’

‘Because it is a wonderful idea. But quite often the reality is that it is incredibly hard and stressful. And I’ve personally seen the uglier side of that. And I didn’t feel like anyone was talking about that with full transparency.’
