A group of ‘reckless’ motorcyclists were caught on camera risking life and limb as they performed high-speed stunts and weaved through traffic along the M11.

Alan Banz, 30, had been travelling from Epping to Whetstone, north London, at around 4.30pm on Sunday.

The mobile phone footage,  recorded by his passenger, showed the riders speeding down the motorway before pulling wheelies in front of other stunned motorists.

In the clip at least half a dozen riders can be seen darting down the motorway in the left-hand lane.

Marketing executive Alan pulls up alongside them as some members of the group begin performing wheelies before darting in front of the car.

The woman behind the camera says: ‘What is wrong with him? That’s kind of scary. Just don’t hit them.’

Some of the riders veer into the lane ahead of Alan’s car as they continue performing stunts.

Alan’s passenger later said: ‘It was quite shocking and my heart was in my chest, I thought they could fall off or cause an accident at any time.

‘They also looked really young and I wished they were less reckless but they seemed to be enjoying themselves and ended up showing off to the camera.

‘I did feel an adrenaline rush watching them! There were around seven or eight of them taking part.’

She said that she had not reported the incident to the police.
