Ryan Dorsey wished his late ex-wife a ‘happy heavenly birthday’ on Sunday.
The Big Sky actor, 41, who was married to former Glee star Naya Rivera, for four years recalled times past as he shared in an emotional post.
‘5 birthdays since you’ve been gone. Thoughts everyday about how it went wrong. The memories attached to places, Still see all the things, see all our faces,’ he wrote in the poem which was accompanied by a photo of him and Rivera at the 2016 Golden Globes.
The Glee actress met Dorsey in 2010 and after some time apart the pair reconnected and married in 2014.
They welcomed their son, Josey, the next year before going their separate ways in 2018.
Rivera died in July 2020 while swimming at the Lake Piru reservoir in Ventura County.
In his missive, the Stumptown actor encouraged the late actress to give their late dogs Emmy and Lucy ‘one good rub.’

‘I shake my head often still in disbelief, They say time heals all, but all is not grief,’ the single dad declared.
He encouraged his fans reading the message to ‘Be kind to the one’s you love, You’ll never know when you give your last hug.’
Josey, who was nearly five when his mother died paid a sweet tribute to Rivera in a video and pictures shared by Dorsey in his Instagram Stories.
‘This one’s for someone special,’ the nine-year-old said before lying down in the snow to make a snow angel.
Photos of the snow art shared were accompanied by the songs Blueprint [Mama Loves] by Jay-Z and Tupac Shakur’s Dear Mama.
Message of love and condolence poured in.
‘I miss her laugh she brought to girls lunch, truly truly one of the brightest smiles and best souls anyone can have around,’ wrote friend Gigi Gandy.’
‘She is always with us. Especially you and Josey.’

Young Josey is following in his talented parents’ footprints.
Dorsey has shared photos and video of the young musician tackling piano and violin, and acting in a play with the Children’s Theatre of Charleston in his native West Virginia.
