Sydney parents Bianca and Daniel Hector – whose twin daughter, Brooklyn, died last month – have shared an update on their other child’s ongoing battle with cancer.

After featuring on One Born Every Minute on Tuesday, the couple have said their older daughter, one-year-old Mackenzie, is now taking a break from chemotherapy.

In an update posted to their GoFundMe page, the Hectors also thanked supporters for raising more than $90,000 after they had publicly asked for financial help.

Updating supporters of Mackenzie’s progress, the parents said: ‘She is at the end of a block of chemotherapy and will have a little break so her counts can recover before she starts the next block. She is doing incredibly well and we are all so proud of her.’

Earlier this week, viewers followed Bianca and Daniel’s journey as they welcomed twins Brooklyn and Hunter at Sydney’s Westmead Hospital on August 20.

Six weeks into the pregnancy, the couple’s one-year-old daughter, Mackenzie, was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia, which also featured on the show.

After the episode aired on Tuesday night, the couple revealed Brooklyn had died on November 18, after she suddenly stopped breathing and was unable to be saved.

Bianca and Daniel, both 29, said on Wednesday: ‘We are truly thankful and humbled by all the love and support we have been shown since our episode went to air.

‘I wasn’t sure whether I would be able to bring myself to watch it, however I did and although it was extremely hard to watch I’m glad I did.’

They explained that their oldest child Peyton is ‘very mischievous’ and ‘keeping them on their toes’ – but they are struggling to hold Brooklyn’s twin Hunter.

‘Hunter is doing okay, he continues to thrive each and every single day, although I am really struggling with holding him at the moment as he is a constant reminder that [Brooklyn] is no longer with us,’ said Bianca.

‘However, he is such a beautiful bubbly boy and has a great little personality already.’

Earlier this week, mother Bianca said of their loss: ‘I cannot describe the feelings or emotions we are all experiencing at the moment and I’m finding it hard to continue each and every day. But we have three small children who depend on us and we can’t just give up.

‘I walked through the door and Brooklyn was not breathing. My husband was on the phone to Triple Zero while I started to give her CPR. I worked on her until the ambulance got there to take over.’

Bianca continued: ‘I went with Brooklyn to the hospital and they tried their best to bring my little girl back to me. From injecting adrenaline, shocking her little tiny body and doing [chest] compressions.

‘Just after 7pm that night, my little angel was pronounced dead, never to come home.’

The Hectors have set up a GoFundMe page after being forced to ‘ask for help’ due to their financial struggles.

Bianca said: ‘I would never normally ask for help but in this difficult time of our lives we are reaching out. Nothing will ever bring back our little princess… but we are asking for the help to try and keep things as normal as possible for Mackenzie, Peyton and Hunter.’

Supporters have now raised more than $90,000 for the family after their campaign went viral on Facebook.

Tahlia, 26, took a more humourous approach to her caption for the same special moment.

‘Beyond biased but we make cute kids,’ the stunning brunette wrote.

After the ceremony at St. Nicolas’ Anglican Church in Coogee, the loved-up couple’s family and friends joined them for a lunch at Totti’s Italian eatery and bar in Bondi.

It has been a big week for Tahlia and Tom, who also celebrated the NRL star’s Australian Citizenship ceremony last Friday.

‘We feel so blessed to have such a wonderful network of people who love and care for her,’ she added.

Made In Chelsea: Buenos Aires kicks off on Monday night, with the show replacing its annual summer series for a winter one for 2019.

And star of the show Miles Nazaire has teased what’s in store for the gang – which is made up mostly of loved-up couples, including his ex Maeva D’Ascanio and his ex-friend James Taylor.

‘I’m happy for Maeva,’ Miles told MailOnline in an exclusive chat. ‘That doesn’t mean we’ll be close. But we had a passionate relationship. I was close to her dad – her family.

‘But we cleared the air at the end of the last season and there’s been closure. So I just give space between Maeva and I while we’re in Buenos Aires. I keep to my own. I give space to all the couples.’

Among those on the trip are Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo, as well as Verity Bowditch and Tristan Phipps – two relatively new sets of couples on the show.

‘It was a very couply trip,’ Miles went on. ‘The majority of the people who went are in a relationship. There’s a few single people – me and Liv [Bentley] – and we stick together.

‘And the couples weren’t too overbearing. Not too much PDA. I love Verity and Tristan together though. When you see that you envy it.’

Miles famously came to blows with James when he seemingly honed in on Maeva, despite being Miles’ close friend.

The two have not recovered from this since.

‘James will always annoy me but I am a bigger person,’ Miles said. ‘I don’t appreciate him or respect him. But at the end of the day, this was his and Maeva’s first trip together and I don’t want to be that person who ruins that for them.

Of Buenos Aires itself, Miles gushed: 'We had such an amazing time out there. It's a place that has so much passion and beauty. It's so colourful. And everyone out there is just so lovely - and they really mean it'

This Morning viewers have suggested hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby seemed ‘awkward’ as they appeared on TV for the first time amid feud claims.

The veteran star, 57, has been accused of creating a ‘toxic atmosphere’ on the set of the ITV show, with allegations of ongoing spats with Holly and This Morning stand-in hosts Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes.

As they returned to screens on Monday morning, fans said that it seemed like the close duo had fallen out over something due to the tense atmosphere.

The 48-year old previously hit out at Phillip over claims he blocked her from filling in for regular co-host Holly while she spent three weeks in Australia presenting I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

Addressing the latest claims on her Heart Radio show, Holden insisted she had moved on from her own spat with Phil, but conceded it may well have lit a fuse.

‘Listen, I’ve drawn a line under all those issues with Phillip,’ she told fellow presenter Jamie Theakston.

‘I’m just going to say I really admire anyone that’s going to stick up for themselves because it’s not an easy thing to do.

‘There’s a tin opener and a can somewhere and other people have found the tin opener. That’s all I’m saying.’

Speaking to The Sun, Insiders previously revealed that Holden believed he scuppered her chances of filling in on This Morning during her absence in November and December 2018.

It’s understood that she headed to the top by lobbying ITV executives over the animosity after he allegedly pushed for former Saturdays star Rochelle Humes to take the job.

A former daytime TV executive told the publication: ‘Phillip actively campaigned for Rochelle Humes to get the job despite Amanda being more experienced – and having been told privately she’d got the gig.’

And addressing the host on Heart Radio in June, Amanda alluded to a rift when revealing the three things things she wouldn’t like to find in her home, flippantly telling fans: ‘Spiders, flies and Phillip Schofield.’

Phillip has since been feuding with other This Morning co-stars and the atmosphere behind the scenes has turned ‘toxic’, according to The Sun.

He is said to be at the centre of a ‘civil war’ at the ITV programme amid claims his attitude has impacted his professional relationships with his colleagues, including Ruth and Holly.

It is claimed that eight different ITV presenters have broken their silence about the situation, while the show’s Friday presenter Ruth, 59, is said to have made an official complaint.

However, an ITV spokesperson has strongly refuted the ‘disappointing allegations, saying they are simply ‘malicious gossip’.

The denial comes after a report stated the situation behind the scenes at This Morning had become ‘toxic’ in recent months, with employees too scared to speak out publicly for fear of backlash.

An ITV source told The Sun: ‘For so long people have been silenced because they are scared for their job. If they speak out publicly about the atmosphere they fear there could be repercussions.’

A insider close to Holly told the paper: ‘It’s true there have been some issues. They’re like brothers and sisters – they have ups and downs but love each other.’

Hitting back at the reports, however, a spokesperson for ITV said: ‘It’s deeply disappointing and unfair for Phillip to be the target of this sort of malicious gossip.

‘Phillip is a much respected broadcaster and colleague and this is absolutely not a description of This Morning that we recognise.

‘Holly and Phil are great friends both on and off screen and are popular among viewers and colleagues alike.’

Martin Frizell, Editor of This Morning said: ‘I spend hundreds of days a year in their company and what you see is what you get, a genuine friendship from a couple who are both spontaneously funny and professional.

‘We have the smartest viewers watching telly and believe me they would be the first to notice any issues – they haven’t because there are none.’

Rumoured rift: To make matters worse, Phillip is reported to have been furious at Holly (pictured with Declan Donnelly in a promotional picture) for landing a lead presenting role on last years I’m A Celebrity while Ant McPartlin recovered from alcohol issues

The Mail on Sunday revealed that relations on set are so bad, Ruth and husband Eamonn Holmes snubbed the show’s Christmas party to avoid Phillip, after a series of behind-the-scenes rows, with the silver-maned ITV stalwart being described as ‘rude’.

Ruth and Eamonn host the Friday episode of This Morning and sit in for other presenters’ holidays, but were surprisingly absent last week from the no-expense-spared dinner at a West London restaurant where 23 of their colleagues enjoyed a four-course meal and champagne to celebrate the holiday season.

The tension between Ruth and Phillip stems from April when they spoke over each other while she was doing a live preview of Loose Women, which she also hosts.

As he cut her off abruptly, saying: ‘We’re a bit tight for time at this end,’ she retorted: ‘I only had about two more words to say, don’t worry.’

Since then, it seems relations between Phillip, Ruth and a protective Eamonn have only deteriorated.

The rift is causing anxiety at YMU, the agency formerly known as James Grant, which represents all four.

It is also understood that Phillip is playing down Ruth’s grievance over being cut off by insisting it was the fault of the show’s production team.

A source revealed: ‘There are an increasing number of presenters who say that when the cameras aren’t running the atmosphere is toxic.

‘Phillip is a man with high standards, he has survived a long time in the TV world. There has been an almighty clash. There is currently one household name on ITV daytime who refers to him as “the c***”.’

Phillip, who joined This Morning in 2002, is also said to be envious that Eamonn, 60, was given an OBE last year for services to broadcasting.

Despite the controversy, Phillip has taken to Twitter to thank fans for voting for This Morning to win an I Talk Telly award – seemingly ignoring the recent rumours about him causing a ‘toxic’ atmosphere on set.

The presenter posted the video with the simple caption ‘Thank You’, in which he gushes about his and Willoughby’s fans, accepting the award for the fifth consecutive year.

MailOnline contacted a representative for further comment at the time.
