ITV is set to axe Through the Keyhole after six series according to insiders.

It comes after the channel cancelled their long-running dating show Take Me Out after 10 years on the air as they plan to move towards different formats, following the success of The Masked Singer.

A source told the Daily Star: ‘Since last year’s series, there have been discussions over the future of Through The Keyhole and now it’s been decided to ditch it.

‘The show lasted for a while – almost seven years. But ITV are keen to focus on other ideas. The Masked Singer has proved new formats can work.’

MailOnline has contacted ITV for comment.

The Keith Lemon hosted show saw a celebrity panel try to guess the owner of a home based on its contents as the comedian riffled through their belongings and gave cheeky clues about the stars.

It first ran from 1983 to 2008 and was rebooted with Lemon at in 2013, but was previously presented by Sir David Frost and Loyd Grossman

The six series reboot saw Keith delve into the homes A-listers such as Mel B, Pamela Anderson and Gene Simmons as the audience at home tried to guess who the property belonged to.

The most recent episode, which aired in February last year, saw eyebrows raised when eagle-eyed viewers spotted sex toys in Fatima Whitbread’s home.

Initially the show pulled in five million viewers but that dwindled to just two million by the latest series.

An ITV spokesperson confirmed the news to The Sun, saying: ‘We’ve decided to say goodbye to Take Me Out.’

A TV source said: ‘ITV and Paddy have done all the specials you can eke out of a dating show, so it’s been decided it’s time for it to go.’

‘As with many shows, ratings have slid a bit in recent years. But it will go down as a big success — it’s had more weddings than Blind Date.’

MailOnline has contacted ITV for further comment on the show’s cancellation.

Take Me Out sees a single man arrive on stage in a ‘love lift’ where he is greeted by a panel of 30 women.

All the women have a ‘light’ on and the man has to try and convince as many of the ladies as possible to leave their lights on for him before he picks which girl he likes.

When the guy had found his match, the couple would then go on a date to the fictional location of the Isle of Fernando’s in Puerto de la Cruz, Tenerife.

While Take Me Out may be leaving the small screen, Paddy will be kept busy with co-hosting Top Gear.

It was recently revealed the motoring show, which Paddy co-hosts with Freddie Flintoff and Chris Harris, is moving to BBC One.

The BBC Two show’s possible move to the flagship channel emerged earlier this month, but was said not to have been finalised.

The show, originally resurrected with Chris Evans and Matt LeBlanc, will air on BBC One with its 29th series later this year.

It follows in the footsteps of Peaky Blinders and Line Of Duty, which have also moved to BBC One.

House Rules: High Stakes will see eight teams renovate the Focus Tower at Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast.

The first episode, which airs Monday on Channel Seven, will see the contestants renovate the penthouse of the high-rise apartment building.

But bookies have already found a potential winner in this year’s competition after discovering they have a major advantage over their rivals.

Carly and Andrew – QLD

Brisbane couple Carly and Andrew are the favourites to win this year’s season of House Rules with odds of $2.75.

TAB is tipping them to win because they have previously flipped two properties and Andrew is a landscape foreman by trade.

Before moving to Queensland, Andrew renovated a deceased estate in Marrickville and another in Greenacre.

House Rules betting odds

  • Carly and Andrew – $2.75
  • Tanya and Dave – $3.25
  • Kayne and Aimee – $3.50
  • Tamara and Rhys – $4.50
  • Laith and George – $5.00
  • Lenore and Bradley – $6.00

On their previous project, they lowered ceiling height, removed walls to create open plan living and completed a full bathroom renovation.

‘We started off desperately in love, by the end of that building hopefully we’re still married,’ Carly said in a trailer House Rules.

Tamara and Rhys – QLD

Lawyer Tamara will tell people exactly what she’s thinking, while fitness professional Rhys prefers to be ‘nice’ even when he doesn’t like the person.

But bookies appear to disagree, placing them at the halfway mark with odds of $5.

Tanya and Dave – WA

As the only Western Australian contestants in the competition, there is a lot of pressure on Tanya and Dave to succeed.

The married couple have three children aged between four and seven, and recently upsized to a bigger house in suburban Perth.

Their 1980s two-storey art deco heritage home needs a ‘complete design overhaul’, which they hope to be able to achieve with their House Rules winnings.

These two are the bookies’ second favourites with odds of $3.25.

George and Laith – NSW

Thursday’s episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians features a heated altercation between Kourtney Kardashian and her sisters.

But the 40-year-old has revealed she won’t be watching the drama unfold, opting instead to spend time with her three children, according to a tweet sent by Kourtney on Thursday afternoon.

‘I won’t be live tweeting #KUWTK tonight, as I’m spending time with my kids while they are on spring break,’ began the reality TV star.

Kourtney’s diatribe continued, ‘I realize that a lot of the conversation right now surrounds my work ethic, and I feel like I need to just make one thing clear: raising children is a job as well.’

‘In fact, it’s the hardest and most rewarding job that I have ever had.’

‘I don’t judge anyone who chooses a different route, and I hope that everyone can appreciate my choices as well. With love, Kourt’.

It’s not the first sign of the eldest Kardashian sibling distancing herself from the show that made her famous.

In a fight between Kourtney and her sister Kim in last week’s episode of KUWTK, Kourtney called the show ‘torture’ and described it as being like she’s ‘stuck in a f***ing trap’.

Meanwhile, Kendall Jenner has a theory about Kendall Jenner’s recent hostility toward her family.

In a sneak peek at Thursday’s episode of KUWTK, the 24-year-old model suggested her big sister’s split from the husband of her children, Scott Disick, was to blame.

‘I think that situation might have mentally f***ed her,’ guessed the reality TV star.

The teaser began with Khloe telling Kendall how she tried to mend things after the sisters had a heated verbal altercation.

‘I sent Kourt the nicest text,’ she said, before reading aloud from her phone: ‘A million percent we need to have a conversation. If not today, it can be any day, but we can’t let this continue and sweep it under the rug like we typically do.’

The Good American founder continued reading: ‘You’re someone who I love and respect and I want you to always feel good when you are around me,” she continues reading. “I would like for this to be a conversation where BOTH — in capital letters — sides get to be heard. I don’t want to feel like this is a one-sided relationship. Whatever we can do where the communication improves, I will do that.’

‘Nine hours later, she sent me a video of the private plane she was on,’ Khloe revealed to her little sister.

That was when Kendall laid out her own theories about Kourtney.

‘I don’t thing she is extremely self-aware,’ said the catwalk stunner. ‘She can’t sit back and be like, “Alright, I was wrong,” or like, “Alright f***, I f***ed up.” She can’t do that.’

Kourtney does appear to be struggling very hard on this season of Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

After the 40-year-old got into a physical fight with 39-year-old sister Kim Kardashian last week, she was seen crumbling during a teaser for Thursday’s new episode.

The ex-partner of Scott Disick broke down in tears during a talk with Khloe Kardashian where Kim sits off to the side looking peeved.

Kourtney interrupts. ‘This isn’t also gonna get us anywhere,’ says Kourtney.

Khloe points out Kourtney is interrupting.

But Kourtney doesn’t stop and she looks mad and says they are there to be ‘helpful’ and won’t ‘make things better.’

The tone between the two is not positive and does not seem to be constructive.

Kourtney has tears streaming down her face when she gets up from the sofa and takes off.

Kim then pipes up, ‘Kourtney don’t leave please.’

This comes after Kim was seen tending to bloody scratch marks on her back as she and her sister dealt with the fall out from their shocking physical fight from last week’s season premiere of Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

The drama hit a fever pitch during last week’s episode, where the eldest two siblings got into a brawl after Kim questioned the mother-of-three’s work ethic.

It seemed that was the final straw for Kourtney, who held back tears are she told Kim, Khloe and Kendall working on the family reality show is ‘torture’ and she feels like she’s ‘stuck in a f***ing trap.’

Kim seemed surprisingly calm as she sat on the bed and listened to Kourtney talk.

‘Do you think I want to come into this negative environment with you guys every f***ing day?’ a clearly overwhelmed Kourtney said. ‘Like, it’s torture.’

Khloe seemed confused though, wondering: ‘But, how did we even get on this? I thought we were talking about Kendall.’

The question only upset the Poosh founder more.

She threw her hands up and began to yell over Khloe, saying: ”Oh my god. We’ve moved on. We’re done! That conversation’s done.

Patience exhausted, Kim and Khloe both tell Kourtney she was welcome to leave.

Trying to make a point about how the show brings out the worst in everyone, Kourtney told Khloe: ‘When I don’t  see you at filming, we are completely fine when we’re not in this environment.’

But instead of listen to her sister, Kim was adamant about Kourtney leaving.

‘Actually, you should go,’ Kim said, stressing her point by clapping her hands.

Kourtney then went low, telling her sister: ‘I don’t want to be around your fat a**’ as she walked out the door.

‘Shut the f*** up,’ she told Khloe. ‘I’m stuck in this f***ing trap.’

We know there’s been friction recently, but I don’t think any of us knew it was this bad and heavy. It’s really surprising that it’s gone this far.’

As the scene wrapped, Kendall climbed over to dab the blood off of Kim’s back and arm.

It seems that this fight may have been Kourtney’s breaking point. The reality star confirmed that she was stepping back from the wildly successful reality show last November, devastating fans.

In her statement at the time, the mum-of-three wrote: ‘I just decided to spend more time as a mum and put more of my energy there…But I’m not saying goodbye. But I think you’ll have to see more of it on the new season, season 18. It isn’t airing yet, but it’s being filmed. Currently, in this room.’
