Woman who was married when she met her now-husband on an extra-marital dating site has ‘no regrets’

A woman who was married when she met her now-husband on an extra-marital affair site has revealed she has ‘no regrets’ – despite not speaking to some family members for over 10 years as a result.

Stephania Meyer, 47, from Toronto, told how before signing up to Ashley Madison, she was a stay-at-home mother and all she and her then-husband had in common were their children.

The couple had been married for 11 years when she decided to join the leading married dating site, where she met Michael Oshust – and an affair quickly began.

When her straying was discovered after just three months, Stephania decided to leave her husband for Michael – and the pair have since tied the knot.

‘While I’m not proud of the way we met, I couldn’t be happier that we are together,’ explained Stephania. ‘I have no regrets and this was absolutely the right choice for me.’

She continued: ‘However, I do acknowledge the toll it took on my personal life and how I was harshly judged by those closest to me.’

‘In the beginning, I lost friends who had been with me for many years. Some felt I was so wrong for cheating, some thought they couldn’t trust me.’

‘I haven’t spoken with certain family members for more than 10 years, some of which live about 10 minutes away.’

Stephania, who was 32 when she decided to join the site, admitted she had never been or been tempted to be unfaithful before.

‘I heard numerous radio ads for Ashley Madison and it peaked some curiosity as I was missing companionship in my marriage,’ she explained.

‘My husband and I had already been discussing separation. This was a way for me to dip my toes into a life outside my marriage.’

But while she made the decision to embark on an extra-marital affair, Stephania said it didn’t stop her from feeling guilty.

‘I never got married with the intention to cheat, or hurt my husband and family,’ she said. ‘But I also never thought I’d wind up being so lonely in my marriage. I knew it wasn’t sustainable. I craved a romantic connection and intimacy.’

It wasn’t long before Stephania met a match in Michael, who was going through a divorce at the time, and just six weeks after chatting online, they decided to meet in person – and in secret.

‘We had been messaging, texting and having phone calls daily up until that point,’ she explained. ‘I enjoyed getting to know him and felt a genuine connection early on. I wanted to see where it would go. It was exciting.’

She added: ‘We met at a coffee shop that was half way between both our residences. I didn’t really have to bother making up an elaborate excuse to tell my husband.’

‘I was a stay at home mom at the time with my own part-time business so I was able to say I was at “work”. The anticipation for the date was exhilarating since we talked so much leading up to that first face-to-face encounter.’

But despite the thrill in her own life, the busy mother admitted she didn’t worry about the impact of the affair on her children.

‘I was in a different head space as I had found someone who I connected with,’ explained Stephania. ‘I was prioritizing my own happiness for the first time in a long time. I felt rejuvenated and alive again.’

Speaking of juggling two different lives, Stephania (pictured with Michael at a Jason Bonham concert in 2018) explained: 'It was incredibly difficult to maintain both worlds - one predictable and routine, the other exciting and adventurous'

Stephania went on to say she and Michael started a relationship ‘almost instantly.’

‘By the time we actually met, we knew we had a connection that was unlike any other,’ she explained. ‘We didn’t want to be apart, so we basically had to figure out from that first meeting onward how our future would unfold. It moved quickly.’

But juggling two separate lives didn’t come easy for Stephania – who had to sneak about so she wasn’t caught out.

‘It was incredibly difficult to maintain both worlds – one predictable and routine, the other exciting and adventurous,’ she explained. ‘I had the responsibilities that accompanied motherhood and marriage, but had a budding affair partner that made me feel like a giddy teenager on the inside.’

And it was three months in that her then-husband suspected something wasn’t quite right.

‘He didn’t suspect anything at first,’ she said. ‘He did tell me later on that something was different about me. He noticed I seemed happier and generally more full of life. He eventually found messages and emails which confirmed his suspicions.’

‘At the time I was at my affair partner’s hockey game. My husband called my phone and confronted me. Honestly, it was almost a relief that he now knew.’

Stephania and Michael tied the knot three years later in Los Cabos – and she says 12 years later they still have the same connection.

‘He is my best friend, my better half, my rock,’ she said. ‘My girls were very young at the time, and didn’t really understand.’

‘When they were old enough to understand, I was completely honest with them and told them about how I met Michael and the impact it had on all involved.’

Shannon Noll says he is still haunted by his legal and and drug issues

As Shannon Noll, 44, releases his new single Long Live The Summer, the singer claims he’s still plagued by his past sins.

Despite a mostly-positive year in 2019 with regular gigs and the birth of his fourth child, Shannon told Daily Mail Australia it hasn’t been easy to escape his past.

With a well-documented history of legal woes and a connection to drug use, he said: ‘I’m still paying the price for it career wise and financially.’

In October 2018, Shannon avoided conviction when he was caught with 0.53 grams of cocaine and was handed a one-year good behaviour bond.

This incident came after he was arrested for assaulting a bouncer at a nightclub the previous year in 2017, before the charges were later dropped.

Shannon told the Daily Mail Australia that his family saved him from plunging into depression as the fallout soon became ugly, both personally and professionally.

‘Even a couple of weeks ago a deal was on the table and someone got send a video [of Shannon] and they knocked it on the head, so that cost me a big chunk of money for a bit of work.’

'I don't know what would have happened': Shannon said the impact on his family put him in a dark place, but he was able to get past it with their help

The impact it had on his young family and his heavily-pregnant wife at the time, Rochelle Ogston, did not go unnoticed and left Shannon riddled with guilt.

‘There was nothing I could think of but that for a long time, it’s been a hard struggle getting past it mentally,’ he admitted.

‘Lucky for my family, without them I don’t know where I would have been or what could have happened in all honesty.

‘Thank goodness they were right behind me and kept propping me up – I can’t thank them enough,’ he said.

The What About Me singer said he did not have any issues with drug addiction at the time, but added he had struggled with alcohol in the past.

‘At that stage it wasn’t a case of I needed help or anything like that, it was just unfortunate timing and bad choices and it was totally, 100 per cent my fault,’ he said.

Happy! Shannon

We’re here for you! Shannon said it was the support of his wife Rochelle (pictured) and the rest of his family that got him through tough times

‘This last year I’ve quit smoking. I only have a couple here and there now, which is a lot better than a packet a day like it used to be.’

Shannon said he has ‘taken it on the chin’ and is doing his best to put his past troubles behind him.

He is now touring every week with his new single Long Live The Summer and has big plans for the next year.

The singer will also live out a long-held dream of performing at the Big Red Bash in outback Queensland along with the Summernats car festival in Canberra and said there is only more to come from him.

James wore a grey t-shirt and black shorts for a quick workout just hours before entering the jungle.

He quickly ditched his shirt and shoes as he walked along the beach following his intensive sweat session.

The former rugby player showed off his substantial muscles with a series of exercises including pull ups and leg raises.

He later felt the sand on his feet as he rested on a sandbank and dipped his feet into the water during a gentle walk, before removing his shirt in an effort to cool down.

James’ beach work-out comes after he revealed he plans to resort to desperate measures to curb his sexual frustrations in the jungle.

Chloe, the daughter of TV’s Richard and Judy, previously revealed that the couple have sex ‘sex every night’.

When asked how he’ll cope without nookie for up to three weeks, the rugby ace responded to The Sun: ‘I think I’ll be able to stay calm.

‘When you’re on 700 calories and everything smells of smoke, I’ll be fine. I’ll just throw myself in the creek.’

The star went on to say how ‘bizarre’ it would be to not have her around and he’ll ‘miss her a lot’ as they speak ‘every day.’

He added: ‘We speak ten times a day. From the first time we met for the last five years, we’ve been pretty much inseparable and we do everything together. She is the most supportive person in the world.’

It comes after Nadine Coyle and James seemed to strike up a bond just two days into filming the show – which is set to air on Sunday.

They were tasked with running through the water before slumping on the beach.

Nadine, 34, then exhaustedly fell into his arms as he gave her a congratulatory hug.

The singer has already said she fears ‘death’ on the show and worries she won’t even make it across the rope bridge into camp.

And James himself said people have a misconception he has no fears because of his stature, but that it’s not true.

No doubt cheering him on from home will be his wife, Chloe Madeley, 32, who has said she is proud of him for going on the show.

It’s been a successful night of fundraising with almost £48million being raised for disadvantaged youngsters across the country.

And Cheryl made sure to play her part in the worthy efforts by making an emotional introduction to one of the heart-breaking real life stories and candidly discussing her toddler son Bear.

The singer, 36, said ‘my son means the world to me, he’s the reason I get up in the morning, I can’t imagine ever having to be without him’ before the video started.

Cheryl is mother to two-year-old Bear, who she shares with former One Direction star Liam Payne.

Cheryl was introducing a video about a family who have benefited from Children In Need by going to a bereavement centre in Newcastle.

In the hard hitting clip twins Jack and Molly are seen talking about their mother Jenny, who passed away in July 2018.

After losing their mother the family met Beth a bereavement counselor who explains that Jack worries other people in his family will get sick.

It is then revealed that their father Scott had Hodgkin lymphoma and was off work for five years and Molly was ill with meningitis as a baby.

Tragically just months after going into remission, Jenny was diagnosed with bowel cancer.

Beth said: ‘Jenny came to me and said “I need your help so the children can cope with my death”. it was a very brave thing to do.’

Also on Friday Cheryl took to Instagram to encourage her 3.6m followers to donate to the show.

She wrote: ‘It’s that time of year again. Children In Need changes the lives of children and subsequently adults all over our country every year and it is all down to the generosity of the donations you give and that is priceless.

‘Tune in to tonight’s show on @bbcone. Let’s get together and make this our best one yet. Sending lots of love to all involved.’

The annual telethon raised a spectacular grand total of £47,886,382 on Friday. This was a decline from last year’s total of £50.6m on the night which later rose to £58m.

It comes after  Cheryl revealed that she worried her Bear would be swapped for another baby in the hospital after she gave birth to him.

The former Girls Aloud singer said that she felt ‘irrational’ and wouldn’t let doctors take him out of her sight.

During a chat on on Ru Paul and Michelle Visage’s podcast What’s The Tea, Cheryl detailed why she felt that Bear might be taken away from her.

She candidly revealed: “When I had him, first of all I wouldn’t let the doctors take him out of the room. I read this story about two girls being swapped at birth and it was playing on my mind. I was so irrational…I didn’t want anyone to take him.’

Cheryl and Liam made their first public appearance as a couple in May 2016 before appearing to confirm their pregnancy during a night out six months later.

The former Girls Aloud star stepped out at the time wearing a form-fitting khaki dress which showcased her blossoming baby bump.

However after two and a half years together the pair announced their split, but vowed to remain close while they raise their son in a ‘loving family’.
