Xavier Worthy’s accuser claims the Kansas City Chiefs receiver beat her repeatedly through their relationship and nearly killed her the night that led to his recent arrest near Austin, Texas.
Sprinter Tia Jones got engaged to the University of Texas star in July, but filed and received a protective order against Worthy on Tuesday. Days earlier, Williamson County District Attorney Shawn Dick declined to file charges against the 21-year-old Worthy over Friday night’s arrest for allegedly strangling a ‘family or household member.’
Of the five alleged incidents of domestic violence over the last year, the altercation on March 7 leading to his arrest ‘was the absolute most violent he has ever been,’ Jones said in the filing provided to DailyMail.com.
Somehow Worthy became upset that he and his new dog were being ignored by Jones, leading him to become angry with her. The two exchanged words before he ‘flipped out,’ according to the filing.
Jones claimed Worthy body slammed her against the wall while demanding she ‘get the f*** out’ of their house.
‘He grabs me by my throat, lifts me off the ground, and slams me on the floor,’ she said.

Jones said her vision was impacted as a result and she needed to cancel track practice because she was in so much pain. Furthermore, Jones accused Worthy of stealing her phone, tablet and computer, adding that she needed to contact a neighbor for help.
‘He follows me to the game room, and starts tossing me around, choking me and slamming me,’ she said in the court filing provided top DailyMail.com by Jones’ attorney.
‘He carries me to the garage door. I remember holding onto the wall while he was pulling me, making both my feet come off the ground. He lets one of his hands go to open the garage, and then he puts both of his hands around my neck from behind and he chokes my neck so tight I was making choking sounds.
‘I felt like I was going to die,’ Jones said of the alleged March 7 incident.
As Jones’ attorney Angelica Cogliano told DailyMail.com, her client spoke to a detective for three hours on Wednesday, providing him with texts, photos, recordings and medical records.

‘We are not commenting on any specific facts or evidence at this time, in order to preserve the integrity of the criminal investigation and the civil protective order process,’ Cogliano told DailyMail.com in a statement.
‘At the protective order hearing, both sides will have the opportunity to present evidence to the Court. Our evidence speaks for itself. And it will speak far louder than the cruel and false attacks coming from Mr. Worthy’s team. Ms. Jones is anxious for that day to come.’
It’s unclear if the county will now decide to reverse course and pursue charges against Worthy. DailyMail.com has reached out to the district attorney for comment.
Chiefs spokespeople did not immediately respond to DailyMail.com’s request for comment about the latest allegations.
Reached by DailyMail.com, Worthy’s attorneys have issued a statement once again denying Jones’ allegations against their client.

‘Mr. Worthy has been trying to get Ms. Jones to vacate his residence for weeks, so a civil protective order was unnecessary and a media ploy,’ read the statement from attorneys Chip Lewis and Sam Bassett.
‘Mr. Worthy was interviewed by Detectives soon after his arrest about these false allegations,’ the statement continued. ‘A third party witness was also interviewed by the detectives to verify his statements. Several other witnesses have come forward to provide statements to law-enforcement and to our legal team about Ms. Jones disturbing behavior in Kansas City and Austin and we have sworn affidavits, photographs, and videos to refute every false allegation.
Worthy’s attorneys also claimed that Jones or her associates ‘removed valuable items from Mr. Worthy’s home’ while he was in jail.
‘He is the sole owner of the home,’ the statement continued. ‘Ms. Jones yesterday returned some of the stolen items from his home. Mr. Worthy did not want to file charges against Ms. Jones last weekend but remains concerned about the theft from his home along with the false allegations continuing to be made.’
Worthy is hiring a civil attorney to ‘address these defamatory statements’ from Jones.

Since his arrest, Worthy has denied the claims and accused Jones of infidelity and an extortion plot.
However, in her court filing, Jones claimed Worthy got physical with her five times in the last year beginning with an incident in October of 2024.
Upset over comments Worthy’s mother, Nicky, made previously, the two launched into an argument that ended with the NFL star allegedly pushing Jones to the ground with both hands.
The filing goes on to detail an alleged altercation around Christmas time. After accusing Jones of infidelity, she claimed, Worthy began choking her.
The two later began talking and he apologized, according to the filing obtained by DailyMail.com.
But the abuse continued back in Kansas City, where Jones said she chipped a tooth when he grabbed her by the throat and started shaking her.
‘My head jerked forward and I hit my face on the closet door, chipping my bottom tooth,’ she claimed. ‘It hurt really bad.’
Worthy was again violent around Valentine’s Day shortly after his Chiefs fell to the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl. In accusing Jones of cheating, Worthy demanded that she leave the house they built and shared in Williamson County, according to the filing.
‘He got very upset with me,’ she wrote in the filing, ‘grabbed my throat with two hands and squeezed, shook me, and pushed me away. He then walked away, and I just cried.’
